Does What it Should
This is a handsome, comfortable desktop calendar which not only has all the calendar things you need, but it also has very useful maps and other useful and practical information, such as area codes, etc. It has a handy bookmark feature which other calendars don't have. I buy one of these every year. As far as I am concerned this is the premier desk calenda.

Been my go to planner for the ninth year in a row. I love the layout where you can make an entry for each day instead of it broken down by the hour which the other weekly planner has. Barnes and Noble carries Gallery Leather Planner if you need instant gratification which I do get time to time and wanna go home with your planner
