I thought I might get something real-time. But it’s green (full) then red (empty) doesn’t really give an indication of when to prepare for a new bottle.No point in owning

With a known-full tank, the gauge registered half full and declined to yellow on first use. (The weight scale says it is still full.) With a mostly used tank, the gauge registered half full and declined to yellow on first use, going back to half full before the tank ran out. On the positive side, the brass was nicely polished ... and the cap fits the fixture. No, I'm not happy. For me, this was a total waste of money. I'll go back to guesswork on tank loads; at least guesswork works.

Bought this thinking it was a practical item that made decent scense to have on my 30lb propane tank I use for my Blackstone griddle.This guage arrived in what appeared to be in great condition, and installed without a problem.Went camping, thinking all will be fine, but after connection to my griddle.............it didn't work.Seems to be a defective guage not allowing gas to pass thru the guage.I removed the guage from the propane tank, reconnected to my griddle, and all worked just fine.Anyways, I think I've had the guage too long of a time now to send back for a refund.If I would have read many of the other reviews on this item, and also reviews for guages from other manufacturers first, I would have known then before I purchased, that a guage for your propane tank isn't really neeed.Some of those reviews explain in great logical detail as to why you do not need one.Save your money for other items you really do need. Do not purchase this guage.Having said that, I've never had a bad experience from Amazon in regards to refunds. Amazon is awesome.

The item was very easy to install: you just screw it in-line between the propane BBQ and the propane tank. When I first attached it to a roughly half-filled propane tank with a CLOSED valve, the gauge indicated that my tank was half pressure. If the valve is closed the pressure should be zero!. When I then cracked open the valve of my propane tank the gauge’s needle pressure shot up up to above the maximum pressure mark. I then attempted to start up my barbecue. On the first attempt nothing happened. On the second attempt there was a loud bang and a large flame shot towards me from underneath the barbecue lid. Needless to say I will never use this gauge again. I immediately returned it to Amazon.
