TP-Link AC1900 Smart WiFi Router (Archer A8) - High Speed MU-MIMO Wireless Router, Dual Band Router for Wireless Internet, Gigabit, Supports Guest WiFi, Beamforming, Smart Connect

This router offered several advantages over my previous eero router. One, it has separate radios for each wifi band (2.4G and 5G), rather the eero combo single radio, which made it easier to add the 2.4G devices. Two, allowed me to configure the router from laptop/desktop user interface, rather than from the smaller screen smartphone requirement for the eero. Three, it didn't require that I register the router with Amazon before it would work.So far, this unit has worked splendidly.

Love this router. My old router (lasted 6 years) was a TP-Link. When it died, I replaced it with this one. I am not a techie, but this was really simple to set up. I don't like using apps (I am 78 and resistant to all this high tech stuff) so I did not download the installation app. I just connected it to my cable modem and it activated. Then I looked for the tp-link network on my desktop computer, logged in with the password included with the router, and was able to change the network name and password to what I wanted. And my desktop wireless computer was connected to the internet. Then I hooked our phones, laptop, and security cameras to that network. And it works great!

Been using this router for a full year before I got around to writing this review. Great Wi-Fi speeds as advertised and good wireless range. A great alternative to leasing whatever router your internet provider wants you to use.

A friend recommended this to me—it's simple and easy to use, with almost no special setup required.

Took me about 5 minutes to set this up for our entire home. Connected a PS5 and computer to the wired network and works great.
