This is my first electric toothbrush. And I guess, I started with the Cadillac of electric toothbrushes, the Oral-B iO Series 8. I cannot compare this to any other electric toothbrush because I’ve never used them. But after positive reviews from friends and reading some things online, I was finally sold on the idea of switching to electric toothbrushes. I have to admit, I’m rather pleased with the Oral-B iO Series 8 electric toothbrush. It’s amazing how my mouth actually feels cleaner after I’m done brushing. What I like the most about this is the pressure sensor. If it wasn’t for that, I could guarantee you I would be brushing too hard, like with a traditional manual toothbrush. The Oral-B iO Series 8 also has an LED ring that changes colour when you’re brushing too hard. The Smart Pressure Sensor signals red if you're brushing too hard, white for brushing too soft, and green if you're brushing with the right amount of pressure. It’s amazing how even the lightest touch with this electric tooth can result in your teeth getting a superb clean. It has 6 different brushing modes to choose from such as Daily Clean, Whitening, Gum Care, Super-Sensitive, and Intense. I always end up using Gum Care as it keeps my gums from damage without any irritation while brushing. The LED display on the front is pretty nifty too. It has a 2-minute timer that lets you brush for a dentist-recommended time of 2-minutes. With my traditional toothbrush, I honestly have no idea for how long I brushed. It’s nice to know that I’m brushing for two whole minutes. One thing that was a little strange and took some getting used to was the fact that the toothpaste doesn’t foam much with this toothbrush. The magnetic charging stand is really neat. It uses inductive charging like a modern cell phone. And it comes with lock-in-place stability to hold the toothbrush in place. But be careful when you place it because it’s easy to knock it over and you don’t want that to happen. And by the way, the Oral-B iO Series 8 electric toothbrush is a sleek and modern toothbrush that just seems great! Honestly, I couldn’t have been happier, I wish I started using electric toothbrushes sooner. For all I know, none of the cheaper toothbrushes would be as good as this. I’m not disappointed at all. I highly recommend the Oral-B iO Series 8 electric toothbrush!

I was surprised that Oral B offered such a product that has advanced tracking from the phone to the toothbrush giving real time updates on how I am brushing my teeth. Easy to clean and does a good job for dental hygiene ..makes teeth feel like you just got them cleaned at the dentist, the round head makes it easier to clean around the teeth compare to the manual toothbrush..this electric toothbrush cleans extremely well.. I am very pleased with how well it removes plaque and brightens my teeth. Moreover it notifies me if I have brushed too light or too hard on teeth and detects what teeth I am cleaning and for how. Further there are several modes for cleaning teeth sensitive, super sensitive, daily clean, whiten, gum care and intense. It's easy to charge and easy to clean. Battery is long lasting. Works great, fast and efficient, easy to clean and does a good job. Overall I am highly impressed with the product and the app functionality on the phone. Good quality product. Value for money..highly recommend.

Intuitive: Yes, there’s a mobile app. And yes, there are many modes to choose from but don’t shy away if you aren’t tech-savvy. You don’t NEED to download the app, and with only two buttons and a clear, bright LCD colour screen, you can be brushing within minutes of opening the box. The user experience is modern and easy to navigate. The brushing modes are simply fantastic. I tend to use the “sensitive mode” because I have some troublesome spots in my mouth with sensitive gums. But there’s something for everyone. Daily Clean, Whitening, Gum Care, Super-Sensitive, and Intense are the other options. They can be changed while brushing with a single click. The brush remembers your last mode and “wakes up” to greet you with a nice message as you pick it up. As with most electric toothbrushes, it times your brushing. UNLIKE most electric toothbrushes, the iO Series 8 also incorporates a pressure sensor. It lights up red if you’re brushing too hard, green if you’re applying the right amount of pressure, and white if you’re not. The brush moves with a smooth vibration and slight rotation. It’s quiet and gives a nice feeling… really, professional! The included brush heads are unique and very gentle yet effective. The downside is that the heads are specific to the iO series, so I had to get rid of my older Oral-B brush heads. It also means that generic brush heads won’t be available any time soon. This is not a cheap toothbrush anyway, so it’s worth getting the OEM heads and maintaining this experience. Battery life is excellent and the magnetic charger base is robust, and with lock-in-place stability, it stays put! Overall, this is a fantastic leapfrog design in the toothbrush world. I know a lot of folks can’t get comfortable with electric brushes. But between the beautiful design, smooth operation, and a wide array of modes and brush heads, there’s something for everyone here with the Oral-B iO Series 8 electric toothbrush. Give it a try, your dentist will surely praise you!

I bought this item in November 2024 and worked very well until a month ago when the battery started draining after a single use and today it completely died and won’t charge! The price for it to last not even a year is ridiculous and literally amounts to fraud! Don’t bother buying this expensive junk

Such a great toothbrush! I’ve only had 2 electric toothbrushes before, a very basic Oral-B electric toothbrush and a Philips Sonicare DiamondClean, and of course, countless regular manual toothbrushes. The quality of the Oral-B iO Series 8 electric toothbrush is just awesome. It’s heavy-duty, yet pretty easy to maneuver and looks so sleek! Using the iO is close to child's play. You can use the buttons to set up and toggle between different brushing modes, and if you keep pressing the button you will reach the settings menu. Like me, if you accidentally set the wrong language when first starting it up, you can toggle to the settings menu and change the language (or even do so on the Oral B app by clearing toothbrush settings and then pick up the brush, power on and select the language you want). The brush heads are great, the type included is the ultimate clean brush head. I really like that it is a larger circular brush head as opposed to the more slim, rectangular shape of my previous electric toothbrush heads. It does leave you with an extremely clean feeling afterward! The Smart Pressure Sensor and the 2-Minute Brushing Timer, both are significantly helpful. If you’re new to using an electric toothbrush, it might take a little time getting used to but you’ll end up loving it. The app is neat (connects to the iO toothbrush by Bluetooth) and allows you to track your brushing habits like brushing time and applied brushing pressure history every day. You can also adjust the brushing time on the app and change the colour of the light on the brush. You can also set up reminder notifications for when it’s time to replace the brush head. The magnetic charger is good, compact, and charges fairly quickly with lock-in-place stability to hold the toothbrush in place. I like the Oral-B iO Series 8 electric toothbrush a lot and had I purchased it outside the Vine program, I’d feel the same about its performance and quality!

I have been using electric tooth brush for past 10 years, during the Independence Day sale saw deal on this model, even though my oral b tooth brush was is good order the deal got better of me and the purchase to upgrade. I am overall happy with purchase. It has all the modern day features expected from a smart tooth brush. But nothing in this world is perfect, so it’s battery could have been better and replacement brush needs to be cheaper. Otherwise it very sleek design which is one more incentive to brush the teeth more often, if you are into such things technology wise.

This is a very good electric toothbrush for those who have sensitive teeth, particularly due to enamel erosion cause by excessive pressure applied during brushing. It has various modes including an ultra sensitive mode and for which sensitive bristle heads can optionally be separately purchased and used on it. It has a led light function which changes colour according to pressure applied, which is very useful to monitor the pressure. The battery, after each recharge, lasts for ages! It also has a timer feature which shows the time elapsed. It looks good too. The only feature that is missing is the tongue cleaning function which wasn't present even though this model is supposed to have that function. Overall I would recommend this.

This is a top of the line oral-b tooth brush that has a small oled color display in built with bluetooth connectivity which serves to amuses you and also tempts you to brush your teeth time and again. Cons: It’s priced at a premium over other toothbrushes in it’s segament.Also the brush heads used on this model are unique to io series and no generic options are available at this moment. I have been using oral b vitality for quite a few years and i got this for 6400/- after my card discount. If you want to pamper yourself or the tech savvy in you caught the fancy of this luxury tooth brush then by all means go for it.Enjoy! Edit: the battery on this toothbrush is horrible and lasted only a few months. Now forced to replace it and original sanyo battery isnt available in india. Such a bummer.!
