How do you remove the rope from the bearings?

The rope screws into a housing which is connected by a small keyring. If you are referring to the key ring, it is the same as removing a key from a key ring on a keychain. If you are refering to the rope from its housing then you would turn to the left like a screw.

According to the reviews and questions id have to boil the rope when I get it. Does that ensure it won't kink and stay tangle free?

It helps to initially straighten it out and unkink but I have found it is still best if you can hang it from the middle and don't store it coiled in any fashion. I probably wouldn't buy again. This rope is heavy and will give you a workout just to keep it turning.
