ASICS Men's Gel-Kayano 28 Running Shoes

These shoes are very comfortable. Not too firm and not too soft. I have wide feet and can usually fit in regular or wide shoes, depending on the brand and style. From reading other reviews that stated these are a little on the narrow side, I ordered extra-wide because I have plantar fasciitus and will use an orthotic with them. They don't offer much arch support, but if you don't have plantar fasciitus, they are probably supportive enough.I haven't had them long enough to see about any negative affect they may have on my feet, but, so far they feel great and I have little doubt that they will work prefect for me. I'm not a runner, just a walker, and these seem perfect for walking or running. Length is perfect. I take a size 12, and the 12 fits perfect.I highly recommend these shoes.

I started getting back into running. I quickly had shin splints and pain. After some research and measurements, I decided I could use a decent pair of shoes with a wider toe box. These shoes have a healthy amount of cushion as well as a wide toe box that allows the toes to splay out on impact. The splayed position is supposed to be more like a natural foot position that people had before they started wearing shoes. I think the proper toe position allowed by the wide toebox has really taken a lot of unnecessary stress off of my legs at impact. My leg pain is gone. Asics in this price range are generally quite good quality and this shoe is no different. I will buy another pair of these when the time comes.

Started developing Tailor bunions on both feet. Not sure if it was due to my shoes or the way I walk. Either way, these particular shoes are on several foot care sites regarding comfort footwear for dealing with bunions. I have always like Asics, so this was an easy choice. Finding Gel-Kayano 28s in stock is another issue, but not on Amazon! :)

I've had a pair of Kayano 20's for a few years now which have held up great and provided solid cushioning for close to 1,000 miles of mostly sub-5 mile runs. I now have about 400 mi on the Kayano 28's and there is clearly significantly faster wear taking place on the traction sole of the shoe vs the 20s. Perhaps traction is better with the 28's and that is the tradeoff, though I never noticed an issue with traction with the 20's. Perhaps the 28's are more cheaply made, but if so, the savings have certainly not been passed onto the consumer, as the 28's were more expensive than the 20's. Overall I like the shoes, they are very comfortable and supportive. The fit is great (went with wide this time as the 20s put a bit too much pressure on my small toes at the same size, 12 1/2). I just have a strong feeling I'm going to be worn through the soles in half the time (or even less than half) than the previous Kayano 20's.

Lifelong runner, retired Marine with several marathons and half-marathons under my belt; 6'2" & 210 pounds. I have been wearing Asics for 20+ years, mostly the GT-2000 series and its predecessor. I have noticed over the last couple of years that the GT-2000 series have not quite felt the same in quality and comfort. I had recently checked out a professional reading blog comparing the GT-1000 and the GT-2000 series. It actually made note that the GT-1000s actually felt a bit more like the older GT-2000s. So, I gave them a try. They felt okay. But I had also started looking at the Kayano's. Amazon had a pair that was almost half off the original price in a decent color scheme, so I decided to give them a try. Out of the box they were one of the most comfortable pairs of running shoes I have ever owned. Having used them for 3 runs so far, they have been amazing with great support and cushioning.

I have worn this same brand and model shoe now for 20+ years and it never fails to amaze. You know what they say, once you find a shoe that works for you - stay with it. I own multiple other brands as well for workout, PickleBall, walking, this is my go to running shoe. Cheers!

I have been running in Kayanos for over 20 years (1998). I also have an MS in Exercise Physiology and have taken enough anatomical kinesiology and biomechanics classes to say, with a certain degree of certainty, that every 3-4 years gremlins seem to take over the design of the Kayanos and manage to screw up a good shoe. However, the stars have aligned and all is right in the world again.....the 28s emulate many of their successful predecessors. Enough of my sarcastic wit. Seriously, I would like to know if any of the shoe engineers at Asics are runners themselves or if they utilize focus groups before they unveil some of the more recent disasters. Regardless, the 28s are a keeper!

These shoes are tight if your gonna spend the money go to a store that sells them instead at least you can try them on before you buy.

Pedí talla 31cm y llegó 30.5. Ese número no me queda y me lastima.
