Fuel Pump Compatible with 2004-2009 Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 V8 3.7L 4.7L 5.7L (Short Bed w/34 Gal. Tank), with Sending Unit, Replaces E7182M

The pump listed for the 26 gallon tank for whatever reason wouldn’t ship to my location in California. Overall this is the same unit that came out of my 26 gallon tank on my 2007 Ram. The only difference is the float arm needs to be slightly modified to attach to the potentiometer. This means grinding off a corner of the swing arm and slight bending to get the range of motion correct to read the tank level correctly. If you have the ability to change the pump, you should be able to make this modification on the float rod.

the pump is working and pumping, however the fuel gauge is no longer working, really sucks because i may have forgotten to cut the wire tie on the float, but thats not like me, either way i wont know till i drop the tank again and look, the easy to install is a bit misleading, once the all the lines are disconnected and the tank is lowered changing the pump is a breeze, i had to drop the tank because i have too many tool boxes on the bed

Very disappointed of this fuel pump. I should have read the reviews first because I see now that a lot of people having this same issue with this pump.So after paying the mechanic $200.00 to take off the old one and install the new one this new one came defective!! It doesn’t read the gas level of the tank. It reads empty and !!! Check engine light came on and took it to the auto parts to scan and the code is defective gas pump. Don’t buy this pump!! Now I have to buy another one and pay the mechanic another 200.00 !!! Ridiculous!!!!!!

Easy install. Way cheaper then any parts store. Only concern is that it is already making a noise . Hope it last. We shall see.
