for anyone that's getting caught up / confused with the directions just look up the innovative marine desktop wave maker its built by the same exact company these pumps are the same all the way down to the controller. i own 2 of the innovative marine branded pumps the larger ones and these are great quality pumps in terms of power/ water movement and also wave pattern. for not much more than a jaebo pump you get a much stronger better looking pump with solid wave patterns a year warranty. innovative marine charges about 110$ for this same exact pump and the same exact warranty. this is a steal id definitely recommend trying these pumps

The unit I received has a self-cleaning feature that reverses the direction of the flow to remove any junk stuck in the blades, Which is pretty cool.The issue is the unit got stuck in this reverse mode and there is nothing I can do to fix it. instead of pushing water, it is sucking it against the glass creating a huge disturbance.

I was surprised that item shipped in it's own box - and unsecured by tape at that. Slapped a shipping label on it and it was out the door.I selected this model over others because of the 9 point range of speeds, and that it can return to its settings after power interruption. The controls are simple to operate and it does provide strong directional flow.At every change of speed there is a period of buzzy noise while the prop and shaft settle, and after that the unit does run somewhat quietly. I replaced a Hydor Koralia Nano 425 - which was silent compared to the Hitauing.Edit: After a week or so the buzzing rattle of the motor after morning speed up has become persistent and very annoying. There is also a significant problem with the ability of the yoke to hold the powerhead in the position you set it.Would NOT recommend.

I bought a pair of them but they were branded by Skimz. I've had them running now for 2 years on my 72 Bowfront and are still moving water like a champ. Cleaning is pretty simple. The magnets will pinch you if you let them or even crack glass if are an idiot. I havnt been able to find these for sale since I got them 2 years ago so finding them here was awesome and they are cheaper now than when skimz had there name on them, I think $120. Noise on 1-10 is about a 4. Maxed out yes you can hear them but I run both at 7 and only when it's quiet I can hear them. The mp40's are the best but these are not to shabby at a fraction of the cost. I highly recommend these if you want great flow , noise and size.

Loud and cheap and a waste of money

Very noisy, will have to purchase a different one, can't deal with the noise, very disappointed

Typical of a Chinese product to have poorly written instructionsIt's not quietController box quit working after a month.. buy something more reliable than this garbage..
