Was a great upgrade to a mic with no thimble.

Brought new life to my mic
I'm anything BUT a machinist but I do occasionally have the need for a mic. I have an old Mitutoyo 103-113 a friend gave me nearly thirty years ago, this model is basic, no friction lock, no ratchet stop. But I recently read an article that made me realize I could at least add the friction lock. This item description doesn't elaborate very much but I suppose that's understandable with so many models that it may or may not work on but I took the chance and it paid off. Fit on my particular mic as expected. I'm well pleased.
