Used my 650 twice a week for for 4 years with 2 separate area cleanings per use (over 1200 cycles). Replaced brushes, filters, and other regular maintenance items as needed. Recently found that the amber indicator ring came on more frequently and it headed to the charger more often. I chose this replacement battery to clean more rooms at a time without relocating the vacuum. Being a retired engineer, I realize the operation and limitations of the microprocessor. I know how it "thinks" and cleans so I select trouble free pathways and move some objects.. Many people do not observe complete cleaning cycles to learn the problems preventing a thorough job. Back to the new battery... This battery has different charging and discharge characteristics than the original, nickel-metal hydride type. After I replaced it, I left it in the charger overnight. The next day It ran for about 1 hour until a recharge was needed. Recharged again overnight and increased the running time to 2 hours the next day. Recharged again for 4 hours and got over 3 hours of run tine as has happened ever since. The internal operating time and battery discharge rate has to be "learned" by the microprocessor. Once this occurs, it works great. Be patient.

Replaced my original Roomba 800 series battery with this higher powered and lighter battery pack with splendid results. My Roomba 880 runs perfectly and pretty much takes care of my entire 1600 square ft apartment in one complete nonstop cleaning cycle with power to spare. The lighter battery pack also allow Roomba to climb right onto a raised edge of throw rugs easily, where before it had to approach the rugs at an angle to be able to get on top of the rug to start cleaning. I give this battery pack a full 5 star rating and recommend highly.

I was pretty happy when I purchased the batter at first. Considerably longer run time. Seemed to work as advertised. Now, three months after purchasing it, the charge indicator turns green saying it has a full charge, then it runs for 5 minutes and turns red and stops running.I keep it on the charger all of the time as you're supposed to with these types of batteries. I use it often, as you're supposed to with these types of batteries. You're also supposed to be able to run the batteries all the way until the roomba tells you to charge it... which you're supposed to be able to do with these types of batteries as they should have no "memory."

I purchased this to revive my 13-year-old 500 series Roomba. I liked the idea of high-quality Panasonic 18650 lithium ion cells, lighter weight, slightly higher operating voltage, and the higher 6400mAh capacity. These characteristics should provide increased performance and longer runtimes.The battery arrived well packaged and included easy to follow instructions. When I installed the battery, I also installed the upgraded aerovac bin and enhanced brush assembly. I charged the Roomba overnight and ran it this morning.On the first cleaning cycle, the Roomba ran for almost two hours, cleaning every room on the lower level of our home. I did empty the new, larger aerovac bin three times during the cycle, not sure where it found so much to vacuum, but I would imagine our dogs have something to do what that. The instructions state that the capacity will increase with the first 3-4 charge and discharge cycles. I am very pleased with my purchase. The Roomba ran four times longer than with the old battery, and with better cleaning performance.

The original battery died after long discharge while our family were on vacation and it stuck on our baby girl's toy by itself.Although it tried to revive its battery, the battery could only run for 15 minutes after the process.As always, I started researching replacement batteries on Amazon, instead of original, but overpriced, battery from iRobot,So, for having the most power rating, 6400mAh, I ordered this one.It's definitely lighter than the original battery, for being Lithium Ion, not NiMH.By the statistics and scientifically proven, in comparison with NiMH, Li-Ion battery tends to have less memory effect, and lighter, while carrying slightly more chance of catching fire, though the manufacturing process has improved stabilizing its chemistry.I thought I'd test out my luck on this, since this is almost twice the cost than other NiMH batteries at 3500 mAh.So... here's my story on my charge/discharge cycle...Eh? Already?This is what I said after this battery ran for an hour and half for its first discharge cycle.Damn. Stop already!This is what I said after this battery continuously ran for over three hours on its second discharge cycle.On its second power cycling, this battery fueled my old Roomba 585 pet series for 4 hours and 34 minutes, until it gave up.Impressive!This battery truly stood for its rating, as the manufacturer has stated it will last up to 4.5 hours, and it lasted 4.5 hours on its second discharge.Now that I'm done on my discharge cycle, I have this battery to run Roomba cleaning my entire 2-bedroom apartment, roughly 1100 sq ft, on a single charge.Another thing to note is that my Roomba still displays "green" light, even after the unit ran for about 2 hours.Hope this review helps someone like me, who depends a lot on the reviews.
