NTR - Netsuzou Trap Vol. 1

When your best friend decides she wants to be more than that
I had just been reviewing the new volume of Citrus and Amazon suggested this forthcoming title. NTR-Netsuzou Trap shows promise as a yuri romance. We have the tomboy Yuma and her petite friend Hotaru. The girls have lived next to each other in an apartment complex for years and growing up, Yuma protected Hotaru. But now, they are in high school and have their first boyfriends. Yuma is surprised when on a double date, Hotaru gets quite frisky with her, suggesting Yuma needs practice when the big time comes with her boyfriend, Takeda. The couples go on a ski trip and Hotaru makes the most of the situation when she and Yuma bathe together. When Yuma asks why she is doing this, Hotaru retorts "Yuma-chan, you play sports and are bigger and stronger than me. If you had wanted to stop me, you could have....You just keep believing whatever you like, Yuma-chan." NTR-Netsuzou Trap does well showing the awkwardness, confusion and passion of young love. If you like Citrus or the work of Milk Morinaga, this series should also be of appeal.

Hard To Recommend As Fiction, But A Well Made Product
NTR, and note this is *not* the fetish commonly associated with that term - netsuzou vs netorare, is a strange little work. A yuri manga that openly embaraces fetishization of harsh topics, from forced sexuality to partner abuse, it toes a line of sexuality and exploration against reasonable and honest depictions of these topics, even for manga and dramatic fiction in general. Going too far into this would be a spoiler, but note going in that one of the primary protagonists notes the other’s actions as sexual harassment - and this is the “positive” relationship. The book itself is very well put together - the mangaka clearly has skill in layout and art, and a rudimentary soap opera shouldn’t detract entirely from that. For a niche market publication as well, it receives a good printing and binding, and is literally very well put together. There are very human reasons to avoid here, but the literary student I used to be hopes to finish the series to see if the mangaka can excise truth, even if indelicate and cruel, from the puerile start. Many others have so I hope for the best!

It’s pretty okay so far
It’s pretty okay so far; to me, sometimes the art is a little strange like a bit unprofessional— it’s not distracting or anything but i definitely noticed it just because i’m also an artist. I think the only other thing that kind of bothered me was how the two main girls’ “relationship” is portrayed ... it feels a bit ... maybe rushed, and even unwanted from one of them? Like she doesn’t really know if she wants this and the other girl is kind of being aggressive — it really rubbed me the wrong way, you know? But even past all of that, i still want to see what happens next. I want to know if something more happens between them because i’m just thirsty for girls being cute and making out lmaooo

With hints of darkness throughout that does a great job of leading the reader into the confusing world ...
A deliciously wrought story, full of uncertainty. With hints of darkness throughout that does a great job of leading the reader into the confusing world of best friends and first boyfriends. This blurs the lines, leaving you to wonder. Is it love? Or in the end, is it all just fooling around?

Another citrus without stepsisters
It was ok. The art is interesting.. like the faces look kinda weird in some angles. Honestly it’s like citrus but the characters are childhood friends, and I say it’s like citrus because the friend forces herself on her. It’s that “if you’re not gay then I’ll make you gay” kind of thing??... but I prefer slice of life/ LOVE stories when it comes to yuri. So kinda regret buying, I feel like it’s just another fetishized GL manga.

I already read this manga online and really love it. It's an interesting story
I already read this manga online and really love it. It's an interesting story. The shipping is fast as I pre-ordered it. The only thing that makes me feel unhappy is the bent in the back cover. I think next time I will go to the bookstore to get a perfect one.

I've only read this 1st one and so far..........so so..........
In my opinion one of the keys to writing a good coming-of-age story is a focus on sympathy and empathy. I know that I'm only one volume into this but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to have issues with sympathizing OR empathizing with ANY of our four main characters......... that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad piece of fiction. It just takes the piece down a darker path (for me). We'll see how the story goes from here. The art is really good and extremely well laid out.On to Volume 2.........

Okay
It's okay, but there isn't much buildup. It's hard to feel the (supposed) deep connection between the two because it's only mentionned and we haven't seen what the relationship was like before it started getting sexual.Overall I liked it, but would love it if there was more romance and bonding and less random sexual acts.

Incrivel
Eu adorei, queria muito ter esse mangá, infelizmente aqui no Brasil é praticamente impossível dele ser lançado em português, então quem gosta de Yuri, com NTR, e sabe inglês, não se arrependera de comprar, eu não me arrependi!
