I’ve been looking for a outdoor umbrella for my above ground swimming pool and this is definitely what I need.It’s super easy to assemble. It came well packed and only took me about 10 mins to set up with no help. It can be easily opened and closed by the crank style handle. It has a lock to adjust how open the extension i want and how high it stops by lifting or sliding it down. It also has a flexible arm tilt to adjust its angle with the sunlight moving. The umbrella is big enough when it’s fully opened, and it seems UV protective. It does come with a cross bass, but not heavy enough to stable the umbrella, I have to use two heavy patio blocks to keep it from tipping. Anyway, it is a great umbrella and I am happy with it.

We added a better base and liked the tilt frame but with a little time we found the cloth portion was very poor quality. In a matter of months the color began fading (a lot) and then tearing easily from routine use. When we pronounced it dead after one year I was able to tear it off by hand with little effort, not like thin canvas which would have held its own.

We really like this umbrella. We moved our patio table to a spot where the umbrella in the center wouldn't raise all the way anymore so we were excited to find this cantilever version.While I had read that the base needed to be secured. I assumed it would stand up on its own. My favorite (photoshopped) picture says "Suitable for Any Place" and shows it setup on the sand at the beach. It simply isn't suitable for use on the beach. It won't even stand up on its own when fully open.Other than the misleading information about it standing up on its own, we really like the umbrella and how the pole gets out of the way when using it for shade.Overall reasonably happy with the "Cantilever Patio Offset Hanging Umbrella,Aluminum Alloy Large Outdoor Umbrella w/Base,UV Protected Sun Shade for Garden Lawn Deck Backyard Pool Backyard and Restaurant (10FT Red Cross Base)", we would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't misleading about being able to stand on its own.

This is a very good price for this umbrella, good coverage, moves easily, base must be anchored well. I’m very happy with this purchase good delivery time.

I love the umbrella and the coverage it gives, but the base it far to light. As soon as I started to open the umbrella up the whole thing started to tip over.
