Oster 12" x 16" Titanium Infused DuraCeramic Electric Skillet, Black

This is a really great electric skillet.Well built yet light weight.And it is very easy to clean.All, much better than my previous one.Happy!!!!

UPDATE!I no longer recommend this product!It took about 5 months for me to become discouraged with the performance of this pan.The cooking surface began to flake and the screws that hold the legs on the pan fell out to reveal little broken inserts..so the screws will no longer hold the legs on.Contacted Oster via email and to date still no response.Very poor quality product and even poorer customer service.My original reviewVery large cooking surface...easy to clean.I have used it about 8 times since receiving it about 2 weeks ago....Love it!Would definitely recommend and would definitely buy again.

This electric skillet works better than my old Presto model in terms of achieving a higher temp - that's a big plus. But the cord is really really short and the pan is large so it's actually hard to find a spot on our counter to fit the pan/cook on. But that's minor complaint. The pan also makes a decently loud humming noise when it's on, which I guess is good so you don't forget you turned it on, because it heats up VERY quickly and gets VERY hot if on 420 (the highest heat). Otherwise - great electric skillet. We use it a lot. Will see if the coating lasts longer than the Presto coating, which usually started coming off within a few months.

This skillet cooks everything so good! I love the large capacity! It cleans up so easy!

I went with this because it was ceramic and should clean easily and for the most part it does. BUT....the thermostat is off. All cooking, to date, has been done at the lowest setting. The end nearest the thermostat seems to be the coolest. Food and oil routinely scorches at the far end and can be almost impossible to remove in cleaning. While I'll continue to use it after a short 5 months I am also looking to replace it.

This skillet is very light-weight and roomy and the non-stick coating is superb! I am very pleased that I can fry bacon and will be cooking pot roast.

Bought this to cook some meals outside during the hot California summers. Easy to control the temperature, although heat distribution is a little off hotter closer to the temperature gage. Overall happy with purchase since it has come very handy cooking outside during heat waves.
