Cap is solidly made, fits very well. The description is clear that the spark arrestor isn't included but I agree the photo showing it is a bit deceptive. I made one from 1/2 inch hardware cloth.

Holding up great. Compared to the last type I used. No complaints.

The chimney cap fits nicely. The image shows a spark arrestor screen but the screen is missing. What gives?

Product is shown with a spark arrestor screen, but it is not included as described in another review. I assumed that was an omission and that mine would come with it, but no, not the case. I didn't want to hassle with sending it back so made my own using a 1/4" galvanized mesh. Hope it works, and I bet my neighbors do too! I can only imagine that other purchasers have installed this as is, which would do no more than keep rain out of your chimney--it certainly wouldn't stop sparks. Word to the wise, doing any work on these things, including installing them, should be done with protection on your hands.. Practically every edge is razor sharp and that's no exaggeration. Overall quality of the cap is good, I'll say that. Were it not for the missing spark arresting mesh (or maybe if it was described accurately), it would be 5 stars.
