I never noticed them to be hot, and I wear them over pants for work. They are very lightweight.

what is the height of this gaiter minus the flap? Height dimension of the piece covering the leg.

Twelve and one-half inches. (12.5 inches). Adequate for average protection if snake is on flat ground.

It doesn’t appear to protect the toe area, is that correct?

Does not cover toes. Stops midway t toes. Almost full coverage with steel toed boots.

Although these are rated for poisonous snakes, how well will they holdup to a Burmese Python which has multiple teeth?

Seeing as how venomous snakes would be biting you with two sharp points, and the python is biting you with a row of teeth with a wider surface area it should be more than adequate at stopping a Burmese python bite.
