I just want to glue a printed 8x11 1/2 paper to cardstock to make a journal for friends.... will this work. Paste whole sheet or perimeter?

This will work. It is bookbinders glue. You can paste whole page or perimeter, try both and if it buckles in the middle pasting whole page, try perimeter. I think pasting whole page would be my first choice.

I know it will clean up with water while its still wet. But after it dries is it water proof or water soluble still?

No it's pretty much permanent after it dries. Youight be able to get it to a gooey consistensy if you soaked the book or paper it is on in water

Will this product work to reinforce Bible that is coming apart?

This glue is used for bookmaking, therefore it should work as well or better than anything else. The glue will work, but I suggest you look online for exactly the technique needed to do the type of repair your Bible requires.

Will this glue yellow over time? I want to use it to stiffen fabric for millinery and I don't want my pieces to end up yellow after a few years.

In my experience with the product it does not yellow. I use on book binding and over a period of 9 months if it is visible it is white.

Must use for perfect binding of your own sketchbooks

A few months back I watched some videos on how to make your own sketchbooks with the perfect binding method. They stressed the importance of getting the right bookbinding glue but I thought I knew better since I had some white PVA glue already on hand. It was Weldwood which is a really good glue. I made 5 different size books but all the pages started falling out. I just lived with it and added some piece of tape to hold my sketches in. It looked terrible. I figured I would just buy premade sketchbooks in the future. Then, I finally decided to purchase special bookbinding glue like I had learned about. I took apart my books and removed the tape. I re-glued each with the Books By Hand PVA glue. What a difference! It dries super flexible yet it is strong. All my handmade sketchbooks now are fixed and work great. I highly recommend this glue for any bookbinding project or repair. Now I can continue to make my own sketchbooks and save money by doing it. Great product and well worth it.
