Lindy Bop 'Vanessa' Vintage 50's Stunning Poppy Print Wiggle Party Dress

The bust runs large. I intend to do a quick stitch to keep the pleats together so I don't flash the office, but otherwise the dress is almost perfect. I run anywhere from a 10-14 in dress depending on the company, and the L is almost right. It's tight in the rear and middle but not so much I won't be able to bend over, and the skirt leaves room to walk. It's flattering, and the material is gorgeous! I expected (but hoped it wouldn't be) shiny but it's not, which means it isn't too gaudy or dressy. The print is high quality and exactly as pictured. I'll wear it with a black blazer and some low heels.

Followed the suggested sizing and was so thrilled when it fit perfectly. This fabric has just enough stretch and thickness to it to fix little bumps here and there. The color is very vibrant in person and I was so pleased with it. The cups of the top are a little too big for me, but that's a problem I often encounter, so I wasn't surprised to find that was the case here. I also love the length. I'm 5'4" and it hits a couple inches below my knee, which was what I had hoped for with this style of dress.

This dress is amazing, but has very little stretch and fits longer than the other LindyBop Vanessa's. It's very tight in the hips and long in the bodice. I can sit in it, but will have to have it tailored to shorten the bodice (it bunches in the back). That being said, it is so beautiful and well made and was ridiculously inexpensive, so tailoring it is no biggie. If your slim and long torsoed, this is the one for you.

So cute! I was very excited to try this dress. It fits great! It's very comfortable too. The pink flowers really look lovely against the blue. The fabric is heavy and I like that because it's cold where I live.

Usually Lindy Bop is SO great but when I went to open the dress I noted it was covered in someone else's medium length gray hair (that's kind of gross) so I thought maybe it was returned previously, maybe I would just lint roll it?? It was a gift and is supposed to be new so I was feeling kind of negative at this point and then my sister tried it on and it fit like a clown outfit, she has several Lindy Bop dresses that fit her like a glove but this one was cut really oddly. It was tight in the hip and way big in the chest when she walked it gathered in the waist , We made sure to measure her up and everything for the correct size but it was all for naught. She was very disappointed and now I don't know if I should stick with this brand or maybe this was an anomaly.

Pretty. Length as described. But it fits large.The petticoat part does not feel as described, but the taffeta liner is right.The lettuce hem done with fishing line helps with fluff but not by much...and check that the line is not coming out of the hem. Mine was, so was returned for a better quality product.

Once again I am impressed with Lindy Bop! Because of the size I ordered it had to be shipped from the UK. I ordered this on August 14th and it was delivered August 24th, well before the estimated date of arrival. I understand because it was being shipped from the UK they need to give such a long estimate because one never knows what might happen with the postal service but I have yet to have a dress take longer than 2 weeks to get to me.Now onto the dress itself. It is amazingly beautiful and I am so pleased I bought it. This is my third dress in this "style" I own two "Ophelia" dresses and like to the other two this dress is a little long in the back for me but nothing my seamstress won't be able to take it. Like I've said in my previous reviews, I don't expect any dress to be ready to wear for me but this dress is pretty close. Those looking for sizing help, I'm a size 18 US in dresses and buy a 3XL (which says it's a US 20 on the lable) so I have enough room in the top to accommodate my breasts, I know I will have to take the dress in other places but for me that is true for every dress I buy thanks to having 38GGs.Honestly out of the 6 dresses I own from Lindy Bop is one is my new favorite!

The dress is beautiful, I absolutely love the fabric. My two other lindy bop dresses in the same size fit perfect, this one is far too tight in the hips (I can't even pull it on).My advice check your measurements carefully - even if you have other lindy bop dresses.
