Current USA LED Flex Plus Strip Light, 44"

This light is easy to install and because it wraps around you don't need to worry about how it will fit on your tank. I know it says for freshwater, but we have been using it on our saltwater (fish only) tank. If you have a coral tank it probably won't work but for fish only it is great. You can program any color you want and then save up to four of your favorite colors. I also like the fact that I can dim it down throughout the day and at night when I turn it off it stays at the same lighting level until the next morning so when I turn it back on I am not shocking the fish with a bright light.The only thing I wish it had was a built in timer so that I could program a few sequences that I liked and have it turn itself off at a certain time. You can do this with an external timer, but you would still need to use the remote to change the lighting throughout the day if you wanted that effect (we like to have the sun slowly rise, then full sun, then the moon light at night before we turn it off completely) But for the price (and aquarium lighting that does all this can get pricey quick), this light has been great.We had a slight issue with ours (we got it very wet, totally our fault) and customer service at Current USA was wonderful.I would recommend this light to anyone looking for a nice aquarium light but not wanting to spend a lot of money.

I love the concept, I don't understand the thought process behind the inadequate adhesive. The light is great, I had enough wattage but not the right color spectrum for plants. I simply put this on my existing light. No need to take up any more space. I did have to add some rubber spacers to corners of light to raise it. Current might want to add 4 of those to the light kit. I know 3m is a great brand but this adhesive feals and looks like double sided tape. Not good enough for an electrical item hanging directly above water...... there are plenty of other options for the adhesive, I personally used the scotch brand, 10lb, weather resistant double sided adhesive. You could also use silicone.

Honestly I like the light for the most part. My plants are responding well and the concept it nice. HOWEVER, and it is a big however, the sticky portion is not able to stay stuck to my glass aquarium top. It kepts falling off due to the weight of the cord. Additionally, there is no way to make a shaper bend with it if you want it to go around the exterior of a top for example. It might work for another application but it wasn't suitable at all for attaching to a glass top. I ended up using gorilla glue to put it in place though it looks ugly. I will probably end up going to the current USA mounted fixture for my tank. Again, the actual lighting is decent but the flexible sticky portion is a no go.Had to readjust the rating as I came home today and half of the strand is dead. That shouldn't happen in such a short time. Very, very disappointed.

BRILLIANT IDEA!!!!...the reality is that In order for this product to be able to maximize it"s full potential it needs to be protected from the aquarium environment...having this product around a year now and looking to replace it. the clear, soft coating has become so discolored that is cannot be sufficientl cleaned...so?

Wish I could rate it higher. First off the adhesive tape fails within days of installing the strip. The strip gets hot and the adhesive comes loose. The preprogrammed sequences are too short. The other day, we started to smell something burning and the led strip went out. It has been a hassle dealing with customer service for warranty replacement. Hint, write down the serial# off the little sticker on the led cause it falls off and ends up in your tank. Awesome effect from the light but not worth the hassle to keep it attached.Update: 11-19 contacted manufacture and they sent a replacement. The replacement worked for a few weeks then failed, only half of the lights will light. I would not recommend this product.

The sticky tape back gets hot and falls off, could be alittle brighter but all the things it does are great could use a dimming sun uo and sundown feature thats all.

After about 5 months my colors started to fade and a month later half of it doesn't work :/

GREAT lights for the price. I`m using two of them in my 50gal wide cichlids tank, and it looks really beautiful. I have set up the lights in all blue and white mode, none red neither green, and it looks really great, make the colors pop out. It creates a little bit of shimmer, so really cool lights for the price
