This is the third time I've purchased this exact bed (2 queens and 1 king). I am incredibly impressed by the ease of assembly; it truly takes less than an hour for one person to put together. The bed is shipped with all parts zipped neatly inside of the headboard. The instructions are very easy to follow, it comes with extra screws, and a handy ratcheting allen wrench for use. This bed is very sturdy and quiet -- no noise coming from restless sleepers! Also, having recently moved, I loved how easy it was to disassemble and reassemble -- you can simply loosen the bolts and can leave them right in the frame so they don't get misplaced. Reassembly is intuitive so it was no problem that I had tossed the instructions. Great price and great quality. I highly recommend this bed to anyone looking for an affordable, easy, and nice looking bed frame.

Not only is this bed of great quality, I could tell that the seller is phenomenal as well. Prior to purchasing this, I read through at least 40 of the reviews on here to see if I would regret it. It was significantly less expensive than I had imagined for a quality platform bed so I was apprehensive to waste money on a "cheap bed", but it was the style I envisioned for a long time and I really wanted it to be quality. Spoiler* It totally exceeded my expectations!* A few reviews mentioned that it was heavy, but I felt I would be more concerned if it was not heavy- I imagine that durable parts are going to be heavy and if you're ordering a bed that you want to stay together and bear the weight of a good mattress and 1-3 people, you should be prepared for a heavy package. My package was heavy, I was relieved. A few reviews also mentioned that it was hard to put together and that the directions were less than comprehensive, sometimes non existent, as well as some of the necessary parts. I did notice that a lot of those reviews were old, so I was hoping that meant that the seller had since improved- and they certainly did. I am 5'5" and 130lbs, I put this bed together entirely on my own in under 1.5 hours. The directions were well written and included photos. As far as parts and pieces, there were only 8 screws total that need to be inserted and they provide you the allen wrench to do that with. (They also provide a small spare parts section of all the size screws in case you lose one- awesome!) A few reviews mention that they were confused and thought they only received the headboard and it took them a bit to realize the parts were inside. I think the seller has since improved that as well because when I opened mine, there was a big exciting "here we go! parts are all inside!" sticker right next to the zipper that opened the headboard so I had no question about what to do next. The zipper was actually a really neat unexpected surprise to me as well, as I had imagined that the headboard was hollow and open at the bottom part, where I would find the parts, but actually they were neatly zipped into the back. That also allowed me to store the directions and spare pieces they gave me right back in the headboard, unseen and not lost, in case I need to take the bed apart in the future to move. My only con is that I personally thought the headboard would be larger and you'd see more of it as I was really looking forward to the diamond stitch and this color gray (and was impatiently awaiting it's arrival to start planning what nightstands would match). However, I think this is my own fault because I am using my own pillowtop mattress which is probably taller than most mattresses that Zinus sells for this bed, so by the time I made the bed and put pillows on, there wasn't much headboard left to see. Still worth it! Lastly, my package included a note from the seller which I thought was just the coolest and cutest thing ever! They personally thanked me for my purchase, mention that they read all reviews and make improvements as suggested, and even provided a blank "thinking of you" and "thank you" card that they encouraged me to send to a loved one just because- how thoughtful! As stated above, reading the reviews first and then receiving my package with improvements to things that customers had complained about, I whole heartedly believe that they are a customer service oriented company and aim to continuously make their product better and have succeeded in doing so. I rarely wrote reviews because I'm rarely impressed enough to take the time. When I saw that the whole bed packed into the headboard, I thought: they pay attention to detail, this might be the right frame. Well, they do, and it is... First, it was double boxed so the frame was unharmed despite obvious mishandling in shipping. Kudos to the packaging. Second, the frame components in the headboard were all bagged in plastic, as was the styrofoam used to block out empty spaces so none of the foam got all over the upholstery. It all fit tightly enough to ship safely, but loosely enough to remove easily. Again, kudos on internal packaging. Third, I've never had a single piece of furniture ship with good tools. I always throw away the allen wrenches, screw drivers, and other crappy "tools" in the bag and go to my toolchest with all the bells and whistles. I was shocked to find a ratchet wrench IN THE BAG. Yes, they paid enough attention to detail to know that some of the bolts aren't easily turned in a full circle and that a ratchet would make (as it says) things much easier. Sure, I still used by screw gun and allen drivers because that is even easier and faster. But, WOW. That is customer care and attention to detail in a nutshell. Other notables... Steel (not aluminum) fasteners; same size bit for all fasteners; clear and easy to follow instructions; assembly took 15 minutes while writing this review on the fly; and it is surprisingly sturdy (because, steel) despite the light weight of the frame and the ease of assembly. Kudos to engineering and design! Zinus has earned a fan. Store is bookmarked, future furniture orders queued up! Can't say enough good things about it. Well done all around.

I've now spent two nights on this bed frame. It has exceeded my expectation. I'm a big guy. 6'5" 265lbs and it is pretty sturdy. With a memory foam mattress I really don't feel any movement from my wife. It doesn't not sqeak or make noise when someone moves. I was worried about this as it is set up on hard floors. The packaging was nice. I was bummed when I first received it that the box was beat up pretty good. But it is a thick box and it's just a shipping box. There's another box that the product is in and it was still in pristine condition. The packaging from the factory is top notch. Well protected but also very easy to remove for assembly. You need no tools to assembly as everything is provided. Assembly took me about 30 minutes. It's a very good design and you can tell that they thought of a bunch of small details. The slats are held together by a Velcro band. The metal supports the slats sit on also have Velcro so it sticks to it nicely and doesn't move around or cause squeaks and creaks. There's also padding on the middle support to provide a nice solid surface for the slats to rest on. If you're looking for an inexpensive bed frame but also want a quality product, this is the bed frame for you. We have a Leesa mattress on this frame. The only thing I may do is put some thin plywood over the slats so that the memory foam mattress has a complete solid base instead of the slats. This is probably overkill and not needed, but it's just something I want to do.

I am in love with my new bed frame. My friends can't believe I got it for that price because the material looks like luxurious linen, and it's very stylish and elegant. It was fairly easy to assemble; I'm a smaller framed female and I managed to do it alone in a couple hours. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The only tool needed to assemble it comes in the box, so you won't have to worry about that. I found it funny that all the pieces of the bed frame came inside the headboard, which can be zipped up in the back and reused if you need to move: simply disassemble it, place it in the headboard, and zip it up. As for its sturdiness, I've jumped in and out of bed and it has never felt shaky or creaky. It supports two adults without swaying or showing any sign of excess tension. The only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is because the wooden slats are very splintery. I had to handle them with a kitchen towel wrapped around my hands after I got a splinter in my finger after taking them out of the box. They feel really rough and unpolished, almost dusty. As a result, I had to place some cardboard between the slats and my mattress because I didn't want splinters and wood dust to get all over it, since I flip it. Overall, a fantastic bed frame for an amazing price. Recommended to everyone I know. Would buy again!

I got stuck in the USA during COVID with my best friend, and now that I am living in her not-yet-finished guest room with her, her husband, her two teenage kids, two cats AND a dog, I thought, "Well, since I am a giant pandemic guest mooch, I should re-do her guest room so when I leave and they all hate me, they can look at guest room and maybe think, "Oh wait, maybe she wasn't such a horrible guest that stayed here for 4.5 months" and look back at this time together with good memories versus "She ate ALL the Cool Ranch Doritos!!!" But given I don't love them *that* much, I didn't want to spend too much money on a guest room re-do - and so I bought this new bed frame thinking, "This is good enough to make them like me, but not enough to break the bank and should last a good 2-3 months." OMG! This bed is great! It's very well-built. The dark grey fabric looks high quality, it doesn't smell funny like most low-cost items, there are nice quality touches like the padding on the railings. Like it's so nice, I would buy this bed for myself - it's good enough even for me! PLUS - some genius designed how this bed would be built and put together. Not only is it super sturdy, but the bed- engineer-maker-person created the smartest build I've ever seen (Please IKEA, hire these Zinus people and have them do your stuff!). They even did amazing touches like the bed slats have velcro on on them to attach to the velcro on the railing so those usually moving bed slats do not move around. The headboard it self is used to store all the parts, so when you build it, you have a secret place to stash things in this headboard, such as cash, booze and Cool Ranch Doritos. In the toolkit that came with the bed, not only did they include extra hardware for those of us that immediately lose the screw that came in the package, but they also gave you a mini allen ratchet in addition to the allen wrench. Who gives you a ratchet?? Who is that thoughtful? Lord knows not all the men I've dated all these years! Why can't men be more like the people at Zinus? As for building the bed, the 14 year old teenager and I built out that bed in like 30 minutes, with her doing most of the work since I wanted to enjoy my drink under the guise of "helping her build character by building this bed." (Notice how I am also contributing to the parenting in this house? Yes, I know. Best.guest.ever.) Anyway, amazing job by this company Zinus and I highly recommend this product. I really think it will bring a lot to your home and if you're like me trying to win friends and influence people by buying things instead of real friendship, it will do the job.

I purchased this bed as a queen several years ago. We just upgraded to a king and I decided I wanted to try a different frame. We ordered something off Wayfair and it was horribly made. I had to pay $75 to return it. We decided to get this bed again, but in a different colour. It is so well made, and so quick and easy to put together. I would buy this bed over and over again. Lesson learned!

The bed arrived in 2 days with prime. It was well packaged. Everything was included inside the headboard. It was very heavy for me to manouver. I read the instructions but still felt the need to find a video of someone assembling the same bed. It was easier to understand after seeing the video. I am a senior and managed to assemble the bed myself in just over an hour. Someone with help could easily do it in half that time. The ratchet tool included made the job easier than just an Allen key for me. All hardware was included and labeled. It is a very attractive bed and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone . I would also order from the company again based on my experience. It is now set up in my guest room awaiting its trial run. I am pleased with my purchase.

Absolutely perfect! I was hesitant to buy a bedframe online but this is exactly what I was looking for and super easy to put together! The fact that they fit everything you need into the head frame is so great! Quality materials and very steardy frame. Will be purchasing for my king size bed in the future. This is the 4th Zinus bed frame I've bought, one for my old bed, two for family members, and this one. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I've been getting the folding platform bases, because of the perfect balance of low price, excellent quality and silence, and ease of assembly/disassembly/moving. Having just gotten a new mattress, I wanted something a little more decorative, so I sprung for this upholstered frame, and so far it's great! This is obviously more expensive than the folding platform bases Zinus makes, but to be honest, compared with similar frames I've seen in other places, they're still very reasonably priced, so no complaints there. This is also considerably more difficult to assemble, but that is no surprise in comparison, since their folding bases literally go together or apart in 5 minutes assembled by one person, being shipped almost entirely assembled and just unfolded and screwing on 4 wing nuts. That being said, I assembled it in around an hour, and a good 10 minutes of that was just getting it out of the box, since a second person would be really helpful for that. All tools needed are included, and the instructions are clear and easily understood. The fact that all pieces are contained inside the headboard continues Zinus' tradition of making their bed frames easy to move, which I really liked about the platform bases. This will obviously take a lot longer to disassemble than those, but I bet knowing how it goes together now, I could likely take the whole thing apart in about 20 minutes, and reassemble it in half an hour or so. It's only really 8 pieces, and 2 rolls of slats, so total 10 pieces and about a dozen Allen screws (OH, and the legs. Add 4 legs, which are sort of pieces and sort of fasteners). The tools provided are a regular Allen key, and a really interesting ratcheting Allen wrench thing which works really well for being such a basic thing. Ikea could seriously take notes. I might even use it for other Allen bolts, because it's neat! Once I had it put together, and having tightened down all the screws properly, I was unsurprised to find that it is equally as silent as my other Zinus frames. This is my favorite thing about their frames, they make ZERO noise, as long as you put them together properly. My platform base from my old bed has been completely silent for about 4 years now, which I have never experienced with any other frame. I have rubber glides under each leg because I'm on laminate floors, and that's all that is needed. I have never needed to re-tighten the wing nuts in that entire time. PROTIP: Just like when assembling anything else, you want to: A: Make sure you don't tighten any fasteners completely until the whole thing is together. This keeps both sides equal in terms of tension and makes sure everything is square. B: When you do make the final tightening of the fasteners, make sure they're good and tight. If you don't tighten the bolts/screws enough, they will back off and that's where your squeaks and rattles come from in the future. Overall, I am so far 100% satisfied. If I run into any problems, I will update the review. Considering the luck I've had with Zinus' products thus far, I don't think that's going to be an issue. I could be wrong though, considering how different this type of frame is from the ones I've had before. That being said, there is every sign of forethought and careful engineering here, so I don't think there will be any problems.
