Does the clear container come off to wash

My fridja citrus juicer comes on but wouldn’t juice what could be the cause . I just bought it

If the power light is on and pressing the juice button does not operate the juicer - try the reset button and then the juicer button again. If it still does not work contact Fridja for warranty claim. (I am extremely pleased with my Fridja juicer)

Is it good for big / large oranges?

Works for large oranges all the way down to small lemons. I spin the big oranges twice to get all the juice out and sometimes they go a bit off centre which means you need to hit the little button, but you still get juice.
