How are these microfiber and Egyptian Cotton - Doesn't add up

If you read carefully, you'll see that they are comparing these sheets to being "as good as" 1500ct. Egyptian cotton sheets -- the heading is sort of misleading, but it's not like they're trying to hide the fact that these are microfiber sheets. It's up to the consumer to know that microfiber = synthetic.

Why is this being advertised  as a 1500 thread  count?  Microfiber does not have a thread  count, it's  a GS

When MicroFiber first came out it was being described as what it would feel like to have a sheet with an 1800 threadcount. Microfiber is not measured by threadcount it is measured by the amount of microfiber woven into a square meter. These sheets are not that. These sheets are actually a form of faux suede. When making upholstery for furniture manufacturers often found themselves leftover with mountains of scrap material, some of the factory workers would run the material through the press again and take it home and use it for tablecloths... long story short this is that  material that is why only one side is soft... the advertisers used to advertise this material as microfiber then started calling it 1800 threadcount then because they arent able to advertise as microfiber or 1800 threadcount (because thats how the makers of microfiber described it) they started to just say 1500 threadcount as not to be liable to anyone... sorry so long but had to explain so that you can investigate yourself ...or Im just a nerd
