These are great if you are conscientious about the environment. Imagine the billions of plastic straws that sit out there in the oceans and landfills around the world. I have seen more and more on the news that cities and states are considering or have pending plastic straw ban legislation. There's good reason for that, they're everywhere. Recycling systems cannot handle plastic straws, they're too small. These Charmed straws are the perfect solution for those that care about the environment and the future of our planet.Don't get me wrong, I'm not the world's perfect tree hugger, but as I've gotten older, I've started to consider some of the non-boidegradable plastics that we all use in our lives every day. The plastic utensils that we get with carry-out when we have utensils at home. Don't forget the ones at the office to eat lunch. What about those K-cups? And the straws, with almost every beverage we order at most establishments.So I figured it was time I did something and wrote a positive review of this product on Amazon. I realize they're not the same as what we are used to with plastic straws. That they may taste a little papery at first - you'll get used to that, I did. Or that they don't hold up after several hours in a drink. Well there's a reason that the plastic ones do, because they'll never biodegrade in your lifetime. I read somewhere that plastic items can take up to 1000 years to decompose. That is not a legacy any of us should be leaving for future generations.The only negative I would even think to point out about this product, and I'm doing so because I read and agreed with another review. The company should pack the straws in paper and not plastic. They're moving in the right direction, they now just have to bring it home.

All these packs of straws were wrapped in plastic, which completely goes against the point of buying paper (non-plastic) straws. Would have been 5 stars if they came in a recycled box instead.

the designs are great - surprisingly intricate for a paper straw. the feel of drinking through paper takes a little getting used to. very pleased that these straws do not get soggy while drinking - nice and durable - i believe these are better for the environment than plastic and, since i use a lot of straws, it makes me feel less guilty. Wish i could just order all of one design rather than a multi-pack but that's a minor issue.

love them! pretty and functional. of course they eventually get soft, they are paper, but they last a long time before starting to fold. I left one in a drink and forgot about it, a couple of hours later, the straw was still in good condition! much better for the environment than plastic.

Each color came individually wrapped which I appreciated because not all the colors were part of my party theme so can easily save for another event. The quality of the product was great- straw held up in my drink for several hours without getting soggy.

I bought these for an upcoming safari themed baby shower I am planning. I know that sounds weird, but I wanted to stay away from animal print and wanted to incorporate a little blue for a boy. The blue is actually a teal or robin's egg blue (if you're familiar with Party City colors); more vibrant than what's pictured.

These straws was so much fun and pretty for a bridal shower I threw. The colors blended right end with the earth tones. Darling addition the the theme.

These are so fun and I love that they are not plastic. We use them with out lemon water and we go through a lot but there are so many straws that they will last a long time.
