The seat belt button stopper is not a safety item, but rather a matter of convenience. It keeps the seat belt buckle from dropping to bottom and forcing the user to reach way down to bring it up. So imagine my disbelief when Toyota told me if I want to replace the broken button I needed to by a whole new seat belt for $400 - not including installation! Then I saw these little gems on Amazon for a little more than 1% of the cost of a new belt. Installation was easy. I pushed the male half through the hole left by the old button, and snapped on the female half. Voila! Hint: to make sure I snapped the two pieces together securely, I put a thin towel over the belt, covering both sides of the button and then used a pair of pliers to snap the buttons halves together. This whole thing took me less than one minute to complete. I plan to blow the $395 I saved on some needless expense…

I bought these to replace a missing stop button on my vehicle. These come just short of working. I pressed it in place several times using different tools. The cap kept falling off. This appears to be a press together assembly. Either the locking pin is just a bit too short or the seat belt material is a little too thick. As a result I finally used a dab of goop on the pin and then pressed it together. Even if the pin doesn't hold, I am confident the glue will do the job. With a small modification it will get the job done.

The seatbelt tab stop on my jeep got caught in the door and broke. After that the seatbelt was hard to use. I was sure that Amazon had a replacement part for this problem, and they did. The Tab Stop was easy to install; just a put the pin through the seatbelt and click on the top. Great product for the price and I even have extras if it happens again.

You don’t know how important this little button is until the original fails. They are not as simple to install as you would think but with the right tools it’s a piece of cake. Pliers are really a must to properly squeeze the two half’s together through the seatbelt material to get a proper lock. Note: After a couple of months one of the buttons released but I easily reinstalled it and locked it into place with a drop of super glue.

I hate having to dig for my buckle, so we bought these to replace the little button that fell off. We’ve gone through 3 of the 4. They don’t stay on. Doesn’t matter how hard we press them together by hand or with a tool. They do not stay on. I’ve given up and won’t even bother trying to use the last one in the package. Just disappointed.
