Love the Tattler system
I have used Tattler lids, seals and rings for years, but my rubber rings were wearing out -- there was an impression in the seal, sif not placed in that groove exactly, it wasn't a good seal (but my lids are still in great shape. Tattler makes a nice product. It may seem pricey at first to purchase the lids and rings in quantity, but they last and last, so the savings add up. Do yourself a favor and order their rings as well -- I leave rings on, as I think removing rings after processing sometimes breaks the seal.

Tattler Rubber Rings
They work well to close jars to be refrigerated, I just did not realize that to really seal they must be done in a water bath. I make jams and jellies that seal with metal lids as they are cooling.

Better than metal lids! No BPA!
Tattler lids and seals are the best. I can use the rings many times, I have a few that have gone through the sink wash or dishwasher at least 10 times and still work, so far I have had one that doesn't seal anymore in either water bath or pressure canning, but still works great to seal in liquids, and I use it for that. The first set of lids and rings I have bought have more than paid for themselves already with the amount of canning I have done so far.

To expensive for what it is
It cost pennys to make this and I purchased this and harvest lids and you get more for you money with the harvest gard lid ,PBA free, made in the USA and the price is much better.

Using for old zinc lid gaskets
I stumbled across a bunch of antique Zinc canning jar lids in a Goodwill store one day. They were all "brand new" in the original boxes from the manufacturer. The only thing they did not have were the rubber gaskets. Now, I have the rubber gaskets and can put my zinc lids into service.

Worked as advertised
I use these for my tattler's lids. They don't have BPA on them like regular Mason jar lids. Weck's jars have glass lids. They are my favorite. Use Tattler lids for all my existing Mason and Ball jars.

I hated having to buy new lids to seal my homemade ...
I was skeptical, but these really work. I hated having to buy new lids to seal my homemade salsa every time I made it, but the acid in the vinegar and tomatoes would ruin the inside finish on every jar.
