How long does this take to work? Should I take it way before I workout?

The manufacturer suggestions is to be used as a pre-work out supplement. On average supplements take 20 minutes to take effect... 300 mg of caffeine in 1 shot can make anyone sick.. drinking half during the warm up and the rest throughout the workout is my suggestion.
