I haven't applied the top clear coating yet but I'm so impressed, I had to leave a review. We have 48 square feet of 3 inch thick concrete countertop. The countertop was never properly sealed and developed stains that I tried everything to remove and couldn't. First, I was nervous that 50 square feet of product wouldn't be enough for this job. Not the case. I was able to apply 3 base coats, 2 stone coats and I still have leftover product. I did this while my husband was at work and when he got home I thought he was going to kill me because he thought I had new countertops installed. While applying I had to stop many times because I have 2 little boys. No issue with stopping and restarting! I do recommend purchasing 2 extra small plastic painting trays and extra high quality paint brushes. The 4 roller pads that came with the product were the perfect amount. I'll update my review after I finish the 2 top coats but so far I'm extremely impressed! I took a huge risk with this because removing thick concrete countertops would have been a disaster. My cabinets are a dark Java and the Oyster kit looks stunning.

This product is great, I did the refinishing project in 2 days, it is real stone, the surface looks and feels great after the final finish of clear coat. It's the best product you can buy if you are looking to refinish Formica or any other countertop. There are other products out there like Giani Refinishing (see URL below). First, ignore the grossness that is this kitchen. I’m rehabbing a rental.Review:I think I like this. I’ve never used anything like it before. It coated well and gave me the ability to match my kitchen and bathroom counters. It seemed to work better in my bathroom and I don’t know why. I had hoped the clear coat would be thicker and glossier.Tips:1. I used my own roller after first trying the one that came in the kit. It worked better.2. When you add step 2 (the rocky coat) you have to keep mixing it up (after REALLY mixing it before you start), and really dunk your roller to the bottom of the pan.3. After step 2, I used the 120 grit sand paper from the kit and then my own 220 and I liked the finish better.4. Don’t use the brush anywhere other than corners or places the roller really won’t reach or you’ll leave brush marks.5. I waited a full day between steps (but only the stated hours between coats of each step) because I had the windows open and it was cold, and I was paranoid about rushing.6. I did not tape off in steps 2 and 3 because I wanted the finish to meet the wall. We’re also painting the entire condo, so I’ll tape off the new counters and caulk and clean up where the counter meets the wall.

I am very pleased with the product. Followed the directions, did not skip steps and paid close attention to the prep work, as others had stated, and am very pleased with the result. I had plenty of product for 18 running feet of countertop and actually applied an additional coat of sealer. I did give a light sanding before applying the last coat of sealer, it really shines. The first week after curing a week my husband dropped a cast iron skillet on it, I was afraid to look. It was fine! I'm no longer worried. Would recommend this treatment to anyone, superior artistry not necessary!

I bought this product to redo my old Formica countertop in my kitchen. The product came with a dvd and also written directions. The directions were clear and easy to follow. The finished product looks great although I have just finished and can’t say how long it will hold up. The directions noted that there was a smoothing tool although my kit did not have one and could have used it for the second coat of stone. Plan to not use your counter top for at least 3 days and then light use. But worth it in the end and much cheaper than a new counter.

No top coat was included in my kit. I feel ripped off.

I can not tell you how impressed I am with this product. I used it on my sinks in my bathroom that were marble corium and the sinks are molded right into the countertop. My sinks went from being outdated to a beautiful countertop that just looks beautiful.. A little sanding and patience is all it takes. The directions are easy to read and the products are plenty and easy to use. It took me a week to complete the product and then I ordered new faucets to give it a complete make over. I could not be happier to have new countertops at a great price.

I was a skeptic but in desperate need of this type of product to redo my counters to sell my home. I researched and this was the best quality I could find. It’s a timely process but it was worth the time. Results were amazing. Worth every penny. Transformed my kitchen like I imagined. Totally worth the money. You will not regret this purchase. I will buy again in a heartbeat
