It's pretty spendy, but you get what you pay for
Highest quality quadrant hinge out there. It's pretty spendy, but you get what you pay for.

Sloppy Packaging/missing parts
These hinges were purchased for a cigar humidor I'm building. I purchased these hinges because of the claimed quality and because they are supposedly made in the USA. The hinges arrived today short two brass screws. In addition, one of the screws provided is not brass. I've left 2 messages with Brusso and no response.

Get what you Pay For
Best hinges on the market in my opinion. They work perfect on my humidor. I used the Brusso template to route a pefect recess.

Five Stars
Really great hinges, but overpriced, in my opinion. Would rate quality at 5 stars.

Too hard to install and no instructions.
There are no installation instructions. The Brusso website has some verbal text about installation but it is based on buying their jig and without diagrams there instructions are basically useless

Awesome hinges ... requires skill to install ... or a nice jig
Wonderful hinges ... best on the market ... Marshall is correct ... installing the hinges takes some precision work; however, since I install many on the humidors I built a jig that makes the installation a breeze. The template, TJ-638, has a caveat, to make it work, you must shorten the guide bushing to protrude from the bottom of the router base by slightly less than 1/8". I did not want to modify my bushing and I didn't want to pay $38.95 for a template that does not work right out of the box with most major bushing manufacturers. Also, I needed the hinges, when installed, to protrude from the back of the humidor by exactly 1/2 of the diameter of the hinge cylinder. This hides 1/2 of the hinge from view on the finished humidor. I also needed the jig to work with three different thicknesses of humidor wall, 31/32, 11/16, and 18mm (45/64 in.) ... only a homegrown jig can do that. To start with a jig where I started search Google for "Quadrant Hinge Installation" , "Jake Brain" ... this is on LumberJocks dot com ... JakeBrain's blog numbered 23937.
