Pump it up
I have been using 8 lb weights for years. At age 74 I decided to go up. Hard to find 9 lb weights. These are great. Already feeling the burn - in a good way

They're Filthy - Under The Plastic Wrap They're Filthy SMH
These were delivered filthy UNDER the plastic wrap. So whoever manufactured these things got grease and gross stuff that comes out through the covering all over them BEFORE they were shrink-wrapped; I don't know if it's rust or what.That being said, I bought these to hold so I can exercise my arms while I'm walking to bring up my heart rate. I found the set of weights I bought earlier that wrap around my wrists interfered with my Garmin tracker. If I was a type A person I would have probably returned them and gone to a local store to buy some that WEREN'T gross. Instead I got a Lysol wipe and cleaned off all the grease(?) I could (one big spot was imbedded in the covering and wouldn't come out) and gave them a good cleaning with a fresh anti-bacterial wipe in hopes whatever was on these things before they put shrink wrap plastic over them isn't contagious. SMH. They fit comfortably in my hand (I wear weight gloves with no tips when I hold them) and the MOST important thing - they packaged them WELL so they would actually make it to my home. These replaced some I ordered from Target that the USPS delivered an empty bag saying it was received with no contents, hence why I ordered this set. The pink is pretty as well.

Very happy despite larger handles
I was hesitant to purchase these since I have small hands (reference of finger size 4.5 with proportionate hands) and there were comments of the central hand hold being larger. I am very pleased and note that the center is a little larger but is very comfortable and seems to disperse the weight a little better perhaps to make pushups on weights and pressure in the hands a little more dispersed. The texturing is very comfortable--overall very pleased.
