These pieces of junk (sold by different sellers) need a negative overall rating. I bought 4 of these to cover a large property to try and scare off some feral cats, and two of the units began malfunctioning shortly after the return date expired (this usually starts with the device continuously flashing the lights and emitting a clicking sound where it wears out the battery charge, requiring charging them up again via USB since not even direct sunlight was enough to give them a charge). However, once it begins malfunctioning like this, it's only a matter of time before it stops working at all (you can't even charge it anymore).As far as scaring off the cats, it's also useless on a larger property unless you buy a lot more of them to make sure the motion detectors (20' coverage) overlap. The 15 seconds it emits a tone is far too short once the cat learns the tone goes away. The cats that come around to this property were after a month, able to figure out the max distance from the motion detector since they were only initially deterred by the ultrasonic frequency; after a few weeks, they simply began to walk further from the device until they no longer went off. And if I moved them, they'd just learn a new path to avoid them again.I can see these things working for smaller coverage areas, but larger yards with various obstacles (trees, potted plants, awnings, outdoor furniture, etc) will be something the cat will use to its advantage of avoiding setting them off.

This was very easy to setup and so far it’s holding up against the rainy weather outside. I was looking for something to keep the dogs from using my front lawn and a bathroom. I bought this to help remedy it. So far it just annoys people from waiting for their dog to poop on my lawn but doesn’t stop the loose dogs that people let roam around from using my lawn. I don’t think this solution works well for deterring dogs without their scumbag owners. Either the device isn’t loud enough or the sound it emits just flat out doesn’t work

Used the device after a rash of critters getting in my garden. I couldn't really tell the difference in the amount of vegetables taken....but it seems to work, lights come on, the pulse, I think a high pitch frequency is emitted....but for all that, the veggies still get taken

Need to be charged too often

I bought this to repel a skunk that was visiting my yard each night. I aimed it properly and set the recommended frequency. It had absolutely NO EFFECT on the skunk at all. I could see from my cameras that the skunk and other animal (cats, racoons) walked right up to it without any apparent effect. Only my Amazon driver complained that the unit hurt his ears! I returned it for a refund. The skunk eventually was hit by a car.

The media could not be loaded.  I got two of these to deter skunks from digging under my house. I'd had such lights before, but they quit working after a week or so. These are easy to set up, have good motion detection, seemed better made, and after a month of use they are still going strong. Only problem, they don't work as advertised and don't repel anything. As you can see in the video posted, the skunks just walked right by the flashing lights and clicks, paid no attention, went about their business with a "thanks for the light show" attitude.I should also mention that my dog and cat were not bothered by the lights and clicking either---even on first exposure when I'd just set them up.Don't waste your money. They don't do as they advertise.

My cousin recommended this device which he used to keep animals away from his dwarf orange tree. I have raccoons in our yard so I bought two devices. I put the two in the corner where they were pooping. And it worked however they began to poop in the opposite corner so I bought one more device. So far they have done the job. Don’t waste your time with ammonia, pepper, etc. i tried them all and they didn’t work.You do need to recharge the battery every so often.

Purchased this item it was easy to assemble, other than that it did nothing to control any wild life they were came and went has they chooses to. Do not waste your $$ - total wast of time and energy
