The central slide-holder bar is completely loose so it won’t hold any slides unless I re-glue it. The paper index sheets are also loose and the padding on the cover side is badly stained. Woodwork around the hinges is splintered. The outside is scuffed, dented and the varnish inconsistently applied so feels rough in places and sticky in others. I didn’t expect high quality for the price but this is beyond awful.

I have bought a few copies of this slide box. They have shown variable quality of construction - some have uneven slots that do not align well

This works great and holds my slides, it’s lightweight and seems sturdy, the only flaw I would say is that the lid isn’t fastened straight onto the base meaning I have to push it to the side slightly to use the latch though it is only a tiny difference [less than 1cm] so I can deal with that

It does the job of holding the slides although it's so flimsy and full of splinters I would not recommend. Buy a cheaper plastic one that will hold together better or splash out on a better quality wooden want if you are looking for that.

I bought this in order to keep the sets of slides we had purchased safe unfortunately the gaps are much longer than the slides i didnt realise they were not the standard length so they are, held only on one side.

The box looks OK on the outside but the inside is a total mess. Wood splinters and dust everywhere, no finishing or care put into it. This can actually mess with your slides if you are not careful. Ill probably try to fix it and use it for my less important slides but I shouldn't have to do that. Go for the blue plastic ones instead.
