Like a friend walking with you in difficult times
This book is like a friend who walks with you in difficult seasons. Lina's honesty is so refreshing and down to earth, yet hopeful. My favorite quote from the book is, "God's goodness is meant to be received in the midst of our pain not proven by the absence of our pain." Lina has proven that someone can come through excruciating times of pain and loss and still find purpose, meaning, joy, and hope. And yet, Lina never claims to have "arrived." Longing and loneliness are still part of her life, but she steers the reader to God who ultimately satisfies the deepest longings of our hearts. (Cliché as that may sound, it's true.) She leads the way in walking through pain until we can get to our ultimate satisfaction and a disappointment-free life in eternity!

Hard Not to Relate to at Least 1 Topic
I've just started reading this through a second time and plan to use it in my small group study. There really is something for everyone in this book. You may not relate to every scenario, but I guarantee you'll find yourself in at least one chapter. I cried reading parts of Lina's story, as I could feel her pain in those moments. I cried reading parts of what I felt were my own story. I think one of the topics that resonated with me the most was her discussion about love. As Christians we so desperately need to separate ourselves from bigotry and love everyone as Jesus loved; this is something we should all be able unite around.

Very Important Book
While I ordered and read this book knowing it was not relevant to me personally; I definitely wanted to read it so I could relate to many people I personally know are struggling with their faith. What Lina went through is more common than we think. Reading her experience helps me understand some of my friends better who are going through similar trials with christians, churches and hurt or disappointment. Thanks for sharing your experience Lina I hope reading this book will help me help others who are hurting.

A balm for the broken Christian
Lina writes so powerfully and so personally. She doesn’t shy away from the nuance of what it means to try to navigate life as a Christian in a broken world of broken systems and broken people. Her story is filled with heartache, disillusionment, and deep disappointment. But it ultimately leads us to hope and to a resolve to stay the course because God has never left us or forsaken us even in our lowest moments, worst sins, and greatest doubts. I’m confident this book will bless so many and allow that lonely doubter who thinks they’re lost for good to slowly find their way back home.

You are not alone!
Thank you Lina for this book written from such an honest heart. We need to admit to the struggles we all have trusting God completely in the most difficult times when we do not understand the “whys” of life . Your honesty on paper resonates to the truth of sin in our own lives and drives us to stay close to the One who created us and knows us completely . I have not finished the book yet but have already bought another for a friend ! This is a deeply personal account of life from a heart who wants to live close to God . A wonderful teacher on- line as well!!!!

A fantastic book to ignite your faith!
Lina has an incredibly encouraging ministry and I’m very grateful for what she pours into people every day. This book ignited my faith and pointed me back to Christ. There is always hope and Lina shares openly about her struggles and allows us to see how she chose forgiveness and ultimately to trust God through it all. Highly recommend this book!

One woman’s journey through hurt and disappointment that leads to hope and a renewed faith in God
Fractured Faith is a true gem! Lina takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. She tells her story of church inflicted pain, deep hurt and the near deconstruction of her faith in God. You will empathize with her journey from betrayal and disillusionment to hope and a renewed faith in God. Lina’s writing is raw, transparent, vulnerable and real. Many of us have experienced similar trauma at the hands of Christian leaders, churches and institutions. The purpose of this book is to identify the pain, move the reader beyond pat answers and reconnect with the Healer. This is the best book that I have ever read on this topic!

God's goodness does not change with our circumstances!
Out of nowhere life circumstances can suddenly hit us so hard, we are left numb and disoriented. Betrayed and rejected. Disappointed and deeply wounded. For a Christian, our personal theology of God begins to shatter. Lina deals with this as she shares in her authentic and diagnostic style how her own faith started to deconstruct with her pain of disillusionment with her church and relationships, and also God’s seeming absence in her pain. Like many others who have walked similar journeys, I found myself having many ‘aha’ moments as Lina clearly defined for me what I had experienced and the state of my heart and soul. Here was someone who understood! She also showed me the path to a reconstruction and new hope. This reconstruction builds a firmer foundation for when the next wave hits. And it will as long as we are here on earth. That foundation is rooted in God’s goodness that never falters in rain or shine.I heartily recommend Lina’s book to anyone who has experienced such deep disappointments in life. I love Lina’s no-frill user-friendly style which reminds me of Rick Warren’s style in Purpose-Driven Life. Our church needs this book today as I believe there are many jaded Christians sitting in our pews or leaving the church because God has not lived up to their expectations. The searching questions at the end of each chapter are great for those who wish to pursue this as a small group or personal study.Thank you, Lina, for saying ‘yes’ to God and sharing your heart so honestly.

From fracture to reconstruction…
If you’ve ever struggled with questions of faith or know someone who has - this is a riveting read. You are not alone in the struggle and questioning. This is not just about the issue but also about a way to the reconstruction of your faith after it’s been fractured.
