It's only been a day, but the effect was immediate!
First, I thought I'd need an extension cord. No! This includes a long, low voltage, cord in the box. I took it out back, plugged it in, and turned on the switch. About 20 Pigeons immediately took flight! They flew to the neighbor's roof behind us, paused briefly, then continued out of sight. WOW! And some people say it's too loud? If you have the ears of a Pigeon perhaps. I hear a faint tick tick. I put my ear right against it, and that's it, just a faint tick tick with everything set on max. I can't see how this could ever bother a human. Birds, on the other hand, are clearly bothered by it!Then I decided to read the paperwork. Well, I should have set the levels midway to start, but I kind of hate to change it when it works so well as-is. Next, a letter from the owner of the company is included. If after 2 weeks you're still having a problem, they'll move to stage II at no charge to you?!?! Seriously? They clearly want to help you! What a nice touch.I had 4 pigeons build a nest on top of one of the support columns for my patio. I chased them off once and knocked down the nest. The stubborn little buggers came back and rebuilt. They're pooping ALL OVER my patio, the patio table, and chairs. I got up on a ladder and discovered they chipped away the stucco at the top all the way down to the wood. They had a really nice nest built that was somewhat sheltered from the elements, and there were 4 eggs in the nest. What I thought I knocked down was barely the top of the nest. I completely removed it and glued down some strips of rubber to keep water away from the wood. I piled the strips so water would run off, as would any attempt to rebuild another nest. To my shock and horror, I found the patio COVERED in poop! They just moved to the ground under my patio table! Even my grill had pigeon poop on it. That's when I realized I needed to take more drastic measures and found this little box on Amazon. The birds are GONE! I really don't care so much about the back yard. They eat bugs. But my patio is off-limits. Well, I'm pleased to say even the back yard is clear. I think my neighbor's yards are clear too! This little box worked better than a littler of cats. AMAZING!I'll update this review if they come back, but right now I don't see that happening. They've been served their final eviction notice in a language that only they can understand. Thank you CLEANRTH. You've developed an incredible product. I hope more people see this, buy your products, and keep your great great grandchildren in business. If it isn't clear from my experience and review, I do not work for the company. I was not given a product for evaluation. I paid full price for this. This is my experience and my honest review, in my own words. I do give CLEANRTH permission to use any or all of this in any manner they choose. Have you considered going to the major pest control companies to act as distributors? I'm sure their customers would be very happy to receive these. Do similar products exist for insects? I can't speak to the life expectancy of the product, but I would hope it continues to silently scream for many years to come.

Does not work one bit.
Piece of junk. The birds have a spot under the soffit of my house that they love to build nests. I mounted this device under the soffit to scare them off. I used a combination of several device settings but the birds built a nest two feet in front of it. The sub-sonic sounds and the flashing lights did not bother them one bit. Do not buy this item.

Day 4 of 8 day test.
This isn't really a review but something we discovered and didn't find anything about it in the information. We have the Bird Repeller sitting on top of an outdoor bar top under a gazebo. Our bird problem was one who liked to poop around on the bar top in the early morning enjoying the sun. I'm forcing my husband to follow the directions that were given. Of course some of the first days we still had poop. But it seemed lighter. But today was really windy and when I went out to sweep away the poop I noticed the ceiling fan we have in the gazebo was spinning. I just thought it was the wind. Of course the Bird Repeller was screaming and flashing like it is suppose to. After awhile my husband thought the fan should not be spinning like that and the Bird Repeller was CONSTANT. We both then realized the "sonic sounds" of the Bird Repeller had "set off" the remote for the fan. I went outside, took the remote, hit the stop button and took it inside. The fan stopped spinning and the Bird Repeller calmed down. I don't know if because it was so windy or other electronic things outside the Bird Repeller chirped a good bit the rest of the day. But now that it's dark the Bird Repeller has become calmed down a lot. Don't know if anyone else has experienced this but thought I'd share.

We LOVE this Bird Repellant!
This year, our front and back yards were overrun by magpies. In addition, woodpeckers were boring large holes in our large, mature trees. Our front porch and back deck looked like we were raising chicken's on them. They were covered in bird poop! It was on our deck furniture, cushions, grill, rocking chairs, pillows, rugs....it was awful! We purchased one of the devices to see if it could help us. Unfortunately, it was defective in some of it's functions. We let the seller know and they were very responsive and immediately sent a new one to us, no questions asked. We followed the directions, exactly, when we set it up on our back deck. We noticed it helped a little bit at first but at the 16 day mark (as it says in the directions) there were NO birds in our back yard. In fact, because we were allowed to keep the first, partially defective unit, we set it up on the front porch. The light doesn't flash and it doesn't "click," but the ultrasonic function works. It has taken care of the problem on the front porch as well. After seeing NO birds in our yard for 2 weeks, we power washed our porch, deck, furniture, grill, sidewalks and driveways as well as cleaned off the cushions and pillows. We have found no bird poop since then. We love birds and they are welcome to be in our yard and our trees but once they overwhelm and make a big mess of our deck and porch, it's not OK! We're SO grateful for this product and highly recommend it!

Stopped using it almost right away
So i'm giving this 3 stars because it might work, but it's really annoying. It did a lot of research and the "high frequency" stuff doesn't work at all. If you can't hear it neither can the birds you're trying to scare away. However, the low frequency seems to work fine. However, there is a constant clicking noise and the motion detection doesn't work at all. Basically this thing just emits noise 24x7 which does keep the birds and everyone else away. So if you put it out in a field it is probably awesome. But it's terrible on the back porch. If you live near a harris teeter imagine have something like the screeching sound they use to keep birds away outside your window all the time.

No more bird poop, thank you!
I don't normally write reviews; however, I'm making an exception in this case because this product really works. I was getting tired of power-washing the front porch every few days, but now, after 2-3 weeks of having this bird repeller sitting on the eaves near the front door, there hasn't been a single drop of bird poop. Great product.

Doesn’t work on catbirds
I have lots of sparrows, cardinals, robins, doves, etc. They are completely unaffected by this. Partly because it doesn’t detect them. Even if I turn the “sensitivity” to high (but not constant), it fails to detect them flopping around in my plants or flying by. (Birds have flown right by it — maybe 5 to 20 feet — and it does not detect any motion.) If the sensitivity is set on “low”, it will even go off when a car drives by or my neighbor drives down their driveway. If I set it to constant, it bothers me more than them. The only time it has “deterred” a bird was the pair of robins that were going to build a nest on my porch light. I put it on the HVAC unit and pointed it at the porch for an hour or so going constantly… they didn’t build a nest there.I admit the birds I want to “discourage” are the ones that most people want; the ones that many consider a “problem” do not live around me. But, I don’t like these building nests in things I’ve planted, and I don’t like them “swooping” at me when I go out to take care of my yard.

Does not work
Have had no luck! We have two of the under a large car port and still fight birds trying to nest. They flash all the time shortly after getting them and cannot hear any sounds. Have had them 2 years and gonna pitch them.
