Der-Franz Coffee Medium Roast flavoured with Hazelnut, ground, 2 x 500 g

This coffee smells like chocolate as soon as you open it, tastes like chocolate at first but with a coffee aftertaste and has a chocolately aroma when brewed. I don't understand how anybody can say they cannot smell or taste chocolate in this blend as it's almost more like a coffee flavoured hot cocoa. It has a recognisable chocolate smell although I can't put my finger on it, possibly Milka or something along those lines. I actually enjoyed the taste of this blend but wouldn't drink it 24/7 like a normal Arabica.

Initially there is some bitterness to this due to being a Viennese style coffee and 80% Arabia ,20% Robusta . I made coffee w it using filtered water and a 15 bar espresso machine. Finely ground so suitable for this, haven't had an issue w my machine. There is subtle hazelnut taste and smell ,package states 1.5% hazelnut added. Good everyday coffee for me ,don't see anything wrong w it. Doesn't taste like ashes just there is slightly more bitterness than w an Espresso Crema or other blend. Upstate : better results & taste with filer machine although too finely ground so some residue at the bottom of cup

Coffee was fine - just too strong for me which I appreciate is subjective. The smell and of the vanilla is nice but the strength of the coffee overpowers the vanilla taste for me. Others might like this :) It’s natural which is good and also a good price. But I think I’ll likely try other brands before reordering as it’s just not quite what I want. Also it’s finely ground which means I definitely get residue in my cup from the cafetière and it’s hard to make a second cup if I use the funnel as the coffee gets quite compressed.

Can't taste the vanilla! Smells of vanilla, doesn't taste much like anything but strong no 5 coffee with a dash of vanilla essence hardly perceptible when drinking. Wish I had read the reviews first and bought another brand.

It is a nice and smooth coffee but I can't taste any hazelnut flavour which was the main reason that I purchased it.

The taste was fine although not as nice as the beans you grind yourself. The aroma was very pleasant, especially when making a large pot, and it was reasonably smooth.

Not strong. Very weak no matter how much I added to my machine this still brewed up weak. If you are a coffee snob this will miss the mark.

J’ai reçu du café moulu alors qu’il est écrit dans la description Grains entiers ! De plus le café moulu ne passe pas dans la machine il ne le prend pas car trop fin je crois . Trop déçue !

I have ordered a package of 5 different tastes, one of them being cinnamon. I got 2 caramel and not even the possibility to replace one with the cinnamon one. The product is good, but now I am affraid to order again, because I can't return or replaces if they make a mistake. I don't find it fair.

dopo 1 mese di utilizzo, ho cambiato idea. Prima avevo dato 3 stelle, perché il sapore era meno intenso rispetto ad altri che avevo provato. Invece ho imparato ad apprezzarlo, è un ottimo caffè con un leggero retrogusto al caramello. Perciò valido. 5 stelle meritate
