Rummo Linguine No.13, Italian Long Pasta, 500 g

Great quality Italian pasta, the best linguine I’ve tried. Delicious with a ragù or creamy sauce (sadly mutti vegan bolognaise has disappeared). Good value for money.

I’ve been eating supermarket own brand pasta but thought I’d give these a go after hearing that these are real pasta. I was really skeptical at first but wow I can really notice the difference.It consistently cooks to a true al dente texture with firm to the bite. The surface is slightly rough, which makes sauces cling to the pasta. There’s also a noticeable wheaty flavour. All of these things have elevated my pasta, especially when using san mazanno tomatoes.These are more expensive compared to supermarket brands, however the differences are clear and make it worth it.

This pasta is highly recommended by top Italian chef Vincenzo Prosperi and having now tried it myself, I can understand why. In short it has a great texture and holds a sauce. If making a bolognaise sauce, use the Rummo pappardelle pasta; never use spaghetti for a bolognaise sauce. Instead, use the spaghetti for a dish like Alio e olio - it works beautifully.

Very good pasta

Excellent linguine, just thick enough and keeps a nice bite and texture once cooked.Delivered unbroken, which I was worried about.These are easy to find in supermarkets in Italy but not in the UK so it's good to find them at somewhat similar prices (if you subscribe) on Amazon
