It may be a little loose but it fits my 1year old baby and she’s a peanut.

Will this fit a newborn?

It’s a little bit big for a newborn. My grandson is 18 months old and it fits him well. He/she will definitely grow into it! Hope this helps!

I'm not quite sure, I haven't taken the plastic bag off yet. All I can tell you that it looks like crushed leather or something like it. It is absolutely beautiful! It looks like an miniature adult western hat. Everyone that I have shown it too loves it too. I don't know why it is called a party hat. I can't wait to see it on my year old great grandson. We got him a rocking horse to go with it and it is just perfect. I would recommend it to anyone look for a baby cowboy hat.
