Review: This is a great resource for AQA chemistry - PLEASE NOTE This review iS for the FOUNDATION workbook, but it also seems to be appearing as a review for the revision guide and higher workbooks which I have not yet purchased but have pre-ordered. This workbook is great. There are 101 pages of useful content, 5 pages at the beginning with copyright information etc, and 5 blank pages at the end. Each page is a set of questions based on the corresponding chapter in the AQA GCSE chemistry student book 0198359381, This book is aimed at foundation level students, but there is a higher tier book 0198374844 but this isn't due for release until May 2017 (a bit late for this year's exams!) There are end of chapter checklists that students can use to rate their confidence for each chapter (and sub sections within each chapter). I imagine some teachers will use this book as a re-usable resource, photocopying pages to set as homework / intervention, but this probably contravenes copyright, so I'm not advocating this. As the book costs so little, it is worth schools purchasing copies for their struggling students (possibly out of the pupil premium budget?) One potential problem is that the answers are in the back of the book, so some students may be tempted to take the easy way out! There are foundation and higher workbooks for chemistry, physics and biology, but for some reason the foundation chemistry and physics are available now (Feb 2017) while the other four books are not available until March and May. This is a great resource for AQA chemistry
