Q: when you program from a dealer do they provide the guts?

haven't taken it in yet. the problem i'm having is more with the guts (not opening the doors or allowing to start car). won't know until I take it in. sorry I couldn't be more help

There is no external visual indicator or marking as to where it was made. It is a very good copy,in fact, I was able to intermixed parts from my old XK key fob and this replacement one. It's that close in fit and finish to the original.

Q: will the key work to open my trunk in the emergency key hole or would i have to pay a locksmith to cut key? i have a 2010 jaguat xf

This is just a shell to replace the outer cover and the key it comes with is a blank. IT will NOT work you have to order the key, from the dealer most likely... I don’t think a locksmith can you open the trunk? In any case I bought the key from my local dealer for $175 in Texas .

Q: Will I have to get this programmed fo my car?

I used the existing key so I did not have to program it, if you are intending to use the new key you will have to program it , costs about $800 to $1000 to have that done
