Aketek20 Pack Square Chinese Lanterns Wishing, Praying, Floating, River Paper Candle Light

These lanterns are good. There were many reviews about how awful they were but we didn't have issues, even on a windy day, with a bit of boat wake. We floated them into the Willamette River. Only one blew out just as it launched. The paper is a bit brittle and can crack easily if it's opened too quickly. The gold paper is also very stiff and we creased it away from it's original fold to hold the shape better. We drew on the sides with Sharpie and Copic markers. Recommend these over the more expensive, "unsinkable" lanterns. They are the same, these just don't have the seemingly unnecessary air packet glued to the bottom. No boards were necessary to float the lanterns.

Love these floating lanterns! I ordered a package of 20 and they are even more beautiful than the photo.They are truly stunning floating in a swimming poolI highly recommend them!Debra

Hosted a party in my backyard and was excited to add these floating candles to create a beautiful ambiance!!! Was very disappointed, when one of my guests screamed fire!!! The Chinese lantern had caught fire!! in the middle of the pool no less!! They also did not float nicely - kind of all drifted to the edge of the pool! overall very disappointed!!!!

Great purchase! This item was purchased for a memorial event, at first glance taking the box out of the bag it looks very delicate but it didn’t break at all. We wrote on the side of the boxes on the parchment paper like material with sharpie and put flowers and the included candle inside. The boxes floated very well and candles stayed light for the most part while floating away in the water. Definitely would repurchase or recommend as well! It helped make a very tough memorial service go smooth.
