Q: Do you find the side zipper on this bag to be more convenient than the typical center zipper placement on garment bags?

The side zipper is NOT a good idea. Love the material and workmanship but loading and uploading is a pain. Gave mine to Goodwill.

Q: How many pieces of garments can this hold for travel?

Only one. It's for storage, not travel.

Q: I see no cleaning instructions, someone mentioned washing, what is the best way to do that ? There are some dirty smudges on the inside..

I'd was by hand but mine is fine.
