Looks very authentic and lovely warm light
Excellent product, looks great, nice warm light, Battery life is excellent, we have antiques in our house, and drape these lights over cupboards and old antique chairs and they blend in perfectly, many people think the lanterns are also antique

A fantastic lantern - but disappointing update to batteries
I love this lantern. Bought 1 in 2022 and a second 1 in 2023. Sadly with the new version (purchased in 2023) it’s no longer possible to unscrew the base and replace the rechargeable batteries.A very disappointing development, and certainly NOT environmentally or circular-economy friendly. As other reviewers have pointed out, this will require the entire unit is thrown out once the batteries degrade, as they absolutely will in time :-( #builtinobsolescence

Great product
Had it for months and use it for a night night in the hall. Brightness can be turned up, it looks classy, and I love it.

Excellent style and performance - wish it came with a charger
Have not tested it to the claimed full battery life but the lantern performed well during a recent week in a mountain hut. It's stylish, surprisingly lightweight, easy to use and performs well, with adjustable brightness and tone. My one critisism is that it does not come with a recharger so I had to hunt around a little to find one with the correct specification of 5 volts, 1 amp output and correct fitting to connect to the lantern; such an inexpensive item - its lack of inclusion was unecessary. I also think it was just a little on the expensive side - but you get what you pay for and overall I'm very pleased.

Useful
Attractive lamp and reasonable brightness. However, the charge does not last long even when not used…it dissipates quickly.Charge time is 7 plus hours

For this price, it's so good I bought another
While it's by no means perfect, at this price it's good enough that I was happy to buy a second one. It's just bright enough, with adjustable colour. At the "red" end of the colour dial, it emits a comforting, warm glow. At full brightness, it's enough to light a small room -- and certainly enough for a tent. At minimum brightness, it's just a kind of background illumination. It charges from a common USB connection and, when fully charged, will power other small devices. It takes a while to charge, but runs for a good while once it is charged. All in all, it's an impressive product at this price. I have a somewhat similar lamp from Littala that cost three hundred quid. The problem, I guess, is that the Litalla lamp has spoiled me. The Litalla is made of solid metal and real glass; it looks like a traditional mantle lamp, and has exactly the same quality of light. Even the control knob is authentic. This product, on the other hand, is only superficially traditional. From the distance it looks the part, but it's made of entirely modern materials. There are a lot of plastic parts -- including the mantle -- and the "wooden" base is actually made of bamboo. The hemp rope hanger looks kind of odd, in fact, and I've replaced mine with paracord, which looks more in keeping with the style of the lamp. There's no doubt that the light weight realized by the use of modern materials is an advantage if you have to carry it around, or hang it from a tent ridge. Still, I have a slight aversion to modern things that try to look like old things. To be fair, my Littala lamp is also carrying off a pretence; but it does it so effectively that it doesn't discomfort me so much. These complaints are just the result of my compulsive fussiness; probably most people will be happy with the looks (and light weight) of the thing. My small, non-fussy complaint is that you can't replace the battery without tools. I understand that earlier models had an accessible battery, and I really can't see how hiding the battery is an improvement. It would be nice to be able to carry spare, charged batteries on trips. It's still possible, but you'd have to carry a screwdriver as well. It's a small complaint, I guess, but petty design errors like this annoy me.All in all, though, I liked it enough to buy another one, so I guess its flaws aren't show-stoppers.

Lovely Lamp
It was a little bit smaller than I expected. But it looks great and works well. There is real quality about it too. All-round very happy with this purchase.

Looks great terrible battery life
This lamp is really nice and surprisingly very bright. You can turn the brightness up and down which is great. It can light up an entire room when on its brightest setting. The only downside is the battery life is awful. I don't know if we've just got a dodgy one but it only lasts for about 6 hours total and then needs charging again. It also takes hours and hours to fully charge.
