Going on 2 yrs of daily use now, the Alpatronix 4500mAh battery case has been very durable and consistently dependable.When I first bought this case, I did exchange it due to the case charger port not snugly holding USB charging cable plugged in. After the exchange I did not have any problem with that. Overall, this case was well worth the purchase price and a great accessory for my phone. Will likely get a phone upgrade this year so I wanted to write this review before setting aside old faithful! Thank you Alpatronix for a great product. For a very reasonable price, the alpatronix has kept my samsung G S7 cell phone in perfect working condition. It's a very useful accessory providing more power to my phone with the press of a button, and protected it from damage too.CONS: Makes phone feel significantly heavier and thicker in my opinion. Charger port is set more deeply into the case than the port on your phone - not all USB charging cords will fit into the case opening but it isnt difficult to find chargers that will fit. This case does NOT allow for wireless charging - something that I wish I'd taken into consideration because I did not realize how much I would miss that capability. (Not to mention the $ that I had already invested in buying several Qi charging pads that were now useless.) The lights on the back of the case are relatively bright when plugged in while charging (so, if like me you don't like any lights in the room when you're sleeping you may want to cover with tape to dim or black out the charging indicator lights). The matte finish tends to wear away over time but I've not been gentle with it; there are shiny worn areas in patches on the back of the case. There are noticeable dents and dings on the corners of the case from the drops it has survived, however not a single crack or significant weakness or damage to be seen anywhere on the case that would reduce the protection of my phone. Be careful if you use rubbing alcohol to sterilize your phone case - thoroughly wipe the alcohol off with a damp cloth because the rubbing alcohol if applied too heavily or allowed to sit on the case too long will wear the finish faster. It will also leave black stain on the cloth you clean it with, so be aware before using your "good" washcloths to wipe it down.PROS: Matte finish allows fairly secure hold while using phone. The sturdy case and raised bezel around the screen has kept my phone from any damage even though I've dropped it more times than I can count on every type of surface indoors and out. The case battery still seems to hold the charge as good as it did when I first got it. I do plug in the charger and let it charge overnight most of the time. Although, there is enough charge that I have not plugged in for two or three days and still had juice to run my samsung galaxy 7. My phone runs through its own charge fairly quickly these days and the case is still always ready to boost my phone when I need it. A great product for a small investment!

I have only had this case for 2 weeks, I bought it to replace a Zero Lemon case I had which worked very well for about a year until the charging port stopped working properly. The battery in this case is 4500mAh which is much less than the 7500mAh of the zero lemon case, but the case is considerably smaller and much more comfortable to hold. The case battery although smaller than the Zero Lemon still more than doubles the charge of the 3000mAh phone battery, which so far has been more than sufficient for everyday use.I have dropped the phone a few times already and the case has done a good job protecting the phone with its raised rim and included flexible film screen protector, it is too early to comment on the durability of the charging port as usually it takes 8 months to a year for any issues of this type arise.Using a magnetic charger such as the TAiKOOL Magnetic Phone Charger Charging Cable,360° Round,Max 2.4A Fast Charging,LED Indicator, Compatible for Micro USB Android Devices may extend the life of the case, see link below.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D352MR8/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_1rmUCbJ1971QJThe one draw back with this, as well as with the Zero lemon case, is that the NFC payment and wireless charging functions of the phone do not work with the case. Also the buttons on the side of the case for power on and volume are a bit stiff and hard to actuate, this is both a positive and a negative on the one hand the volume will not change on its own, sometimes when in a meeting I would turn down the volume if something would press up against the phone it could change the volume and the phone might ring if someone calls or a video may start to play during the meeting, with this case the volume will not change on its own so that is a plus, but if you let the phones battery fully run down to the point the phone shuts off you will have a hard time turning it back on. I did not notice this at first because I could change the volume with the touchscreen and wake up the phone with the home button, but when the phone powered down I had a hard time turning it back on.In conclusion if you value the added protection and increased battery life over the NFC and wireless charging functions and don't mind the minor inconvenience of the stiff buttons I would recommend this case, the case is relatively easy to take off should you need to access those functions.
