Q: Will these bend without cracking, I will be using them in rod building and they need to bend around the rod, about 1/2 width, or half a broomstick.

I tried to bend a 1/4 inch wide strip around a 1/2 inch diameter drill shank and it cracked easily. I would recommend no smaller than a 1 inch diameter which I tested and was OK.
