Kika [DVD] [1994]

I think this is from the golden period of Almodovar. Interesting plot, lot of love and compassion for his female characters, funny but at the same time dramatic, intense. In a funny manner he treats a subject of human relationships. I don't want to give too much info and take the beauty of watching it away! I think it's worth watching it.

As a fan of Almodovar and his art, this movie was a disappointment. The characters are shallow, there is hardly any story line and after a while a had to turn it off because the movie kept going on the same way, over and over. Sorry, Pedro!

Love it! Bravo director!!

Esta es una de sus menos conocidas películas, pero en mi opinión una de las mejores. No se realmente como este talentoso director convierte escenas fuertes de violencia de toda clase y encuentra humor en ello. Realmente nos recuerda a no tomarnos tan en serio. Definitivamente un gran profesor y artista. Los actores todos fabulosos(menos el Peter Coyote, que no sé para que diablos lo inyectaron en tal producción, blah!)Todo lo demás perfecto. Bravo!

I like Almodovar best when he is not being soggy (as in Talk to Her). Veronica Forquet is probably the best comedienne Spain has at the moment, and Victoria Abril, is up there in the pantheon of Almodovar's movie goddesses. Together, they are irresistible. Throw in Peter Coyote and you have pure nitroglycerine! I will not even try to give a plot summary. Just lie back and laugh your head off!

Good movie

I really enjoyed it though my fellow viewer squirmed quite alot and probably never choose to see it again. Such is the nature of Almodovar films. Marmite. Very challenging and I wouldn't take my mother or a child to see it. The design is wonderful. Well done Mr Gaultier. Try it and see you never know you may like it....then again you may hate it

Kika ist die Hauptakteurin des Films, die in merkwürdige Handlungen verstrickt wird und das höchst unfreiwillig. Auch in diesem Film stößt mir ein sexueller Aspekt auf. Möglicherweise mag es daran liegen, dass ich als Frau ein persönliches Problem mit dem Thema Vergewaltigung habe. Die hier dargestellte sogenannte Vergewaltigung ist eigentlich nicht so richtig eine. Sie wird so überspitzt dargestellt, dass es schon fast in eine Groteske mündet. Auch scheint Kika nicht wirklich darunter zu leiden, andere Aspekt rücken hier in den Vordergrund. Die Art des hier dargestellten sexuellen Übergriffs und auch der Dialog der zuvor stattfindet, ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wenn man allerdings einen Almodovar guckt, ist man darauf vorbereitet. Ansonsten der übliche schrille spanische Wahnsinn. :-D Humor ist, wenn man trotzdem lacht! Sicherlich nicht jedermanns Sache! Weiter weg vom Mainstream kann sich ein Regisseur nicht bewegen und das ist auch gut so!

Una película divertida y que aguanta bien el paso del tiempo. Se agradece esa facilidad de Pedro Almodovar para conjugar un tipismo desternillante con tramas a ratos under.
