While trying to cut the cable cord, I decided to purchase a new DTV over the air indoor antenna. The one I currently have doesn't work at all on certain channels in the local area and an internet search indicated that some antennas fail to acquire those signals. This antenna does not suffer from that problem. I did find that going backwards from cable to broadcast the fun in finding the best location and orientation of the antenna to maximize the amount of channels and the signal strengths. It took a little while and I found that just a one inch difference in location and orientation would prevent reception of some stations.I would have given this product 5 stars, but I find the amplifier's USB power cable length (short) to be limiting.

This is a great antenna for the price. My upstairs works perfectly without the amplifier as I'm about 30 miles from transmitter. I'm primarily using it in my basement. Need the amplifier and had to move antenna around to get a decent signal but overall very happy with the product.

We said goodbye to satellite and cable tv services a few years ago. We don’t have time to watch every available channel that’s out there so it didn’t make sense to pay the rising costs of those services we hardly ever have time for. Enter the antenna. I was raised in a time before cable tv so tv was never a focus. We watched whatever we had time to watch after school, homework and chores were done - if we had any time left.This antenna is small, thin and versatile. Did you know that you can power it via the USB port and plugging it into an open port on your tv instead of the wall power outlet?Easy to install. You get local channels and most are in high definition and widescreen so it works. One time payment and no ridiculous bill for broadcasts I never watch.Life is pretty interesting when you are surfing through channels trying to figure out what to watch. I’m a do-er. I’d rather get up and go do something than sit there and watch other do things. The antenna is for watching the news in the morning. There are quite a few channels where I am but I don’t have time since I’m out all day with people. Best money I’ve spent in a very long time.

I bought 2 of these and two digital converter boxes that had their own 35mile smaller antennas. I have purchased different versions of these that worked fine but not these. I was thrilled when I opened the box to find double stick tape to hold the antenna up. I added these to two TVs and it worked initially fine. Changing the channel to a transmitter in a different direction posed a problem so I added the amplifier. It is nice because it is USB powered so you can use the 1A usb port on your tv. When I added the booster nothing worked at first. I started messing with the antenna to find that the wire into the panel is lose on both units. The only way I can get it to reliably work is to hold the wire in. The small 35mile antennas worked better without the amplifier than these two with it. I am disappointed in these.

This antenna proved to have better results than I expected. I live in an area subject to TV interference from an airline flight path plus weather conditions such as rain or wind. This antenna with the amplifier has smoothed out this problem. It was easy to put together; the instructions are clear. The vendor sent an email prior to delivery with instructions and a phone number for assistance. Finding the right place for the antenna was the challenge. It has now been working well for several days during rain and periodic wind. Most channels are now steady while planes are near. Only a few out of the 28 channels I get show some pixellation or intermittent stoppage. Moving the antenna a bit helps sometimes. But this is so minor compared to the prior reception problems. For the price, this is very worthwhile purchase.

Ok antenna. Have an original clear antenna and it gets better reception than this one. Using in a basement so this may do better when used above ground.

I am surprised at how well this thing works. It really picks up many, many channels. I am super happy to get free broadcast TV in HD. This really helped me to completely cut the cable. I now use intenet, Philo ($20 a month), this antenna, and Prime, Netflix, and Disney Plus. Now I get the stuff I want and do it for much less than cable and all it's equipment. These antennas are great, and this particular one is a good buy. Do it.

I live in a large city and my house is in a lower lying area than the surroundings so I was unsure how this would work. I was skeptical, given the price. The reception is great though - I mostly use it outdoors but have used it indoors near a window and it works well there too. I can pick up all of the major broadcast networks in full HD.
