ProForm 66838 Cam Checker Tool

This tool is invaluable for degreeing a camshaft and checking the lobe height and duration. Also, it makes finding the lobe centerline a snap. The lower set screw can be removed or shortened so that it will slide into the lifter bore.

I'm not a pro but restore worn out engines a couple time a year. This tool makes checking cam shaft lift and timing so easy. I recommend this tool to for any mechanic that needs to verify worn cam shafts.

it worked just like it is detailed to do. GM LSX series engines is what I use it on.Only complaint. Set screw should be able to fit inside while allowing free travel without hanging up on the lifter housing. Had to modify mine

When building fast turning, close tollerance engines, this tool makes setting cam timing a snap. No building a Rube Goldberg assembly to connect to a dial indicator, this slides into the lifter bore and gives real numbers for setting cam timing.
