I am very pleased with this product on the bottom of our 3/8" glass shower door. Originally I had tried the Prime-Line M 6258 but it was loose fitting and slipped down, did not reach all the way down to the surface under the door, and was too fragile. This Butecare Frameless Shower Door Bottom Seal is way better in every respect. It fits onto the door bottom very snugly without needing any adhesive; it is thicker and more robust; and the wiper strips along the bottom reach all the way down to the shower surface (just lightly brushing it) so we are able to swing the door open in either direction, yet it is providing a good water seal. We are lucky it fits so well, as this depends on how the door is hung. The only slight down-side is that it is a little hard to cut, but I was able to cut it successfully to the proper length using a hacksaw and pruning shears. I am totally pleased with the result.

This seal was a direct replacement for the original one installed on my frameless shower door. Just make sure you order the correct glass thickness, since that’s what determines the fit. It feels a little tighter than the old seal I removed, but that’s expected—the original had been taken off and reinstalled many times for cleaning. I’m sure this one will loosen slightly with age and regular maintenance. For the cleanest installation, I recommend cutting it to length with a hacksaw. Go slow and steady and you’ll get a smooth, straight cut that looks factory‑clean once installed. Overall, it fits well, works as intended, and is a solid replacement at a good price.
