There are so many pieces that you can design to your heart's content. There is a wonderful instruction booklet. It's just a great way to spend time. You can turn your designs into jewelry or incorporate them into other crafts.

Remember the good old days when Spirograph came with pins and styrofoam? The putty was rock solid so had to order new. Otherwise it is fine.

This fun toy requires a lot more skill than I thought. It's actually quite challenging, but also extremely rewarding, to creat some of the really complex patterns.

Some of the other reviews had me worried about what I was going to get. I got what is in the picture. A beautiful sturdy box with the plastic storage tray for all the parts. Just like the set I had as a child.It has the 50th Anniversary diecast metal commemorative gear. Which they don't seem to want you to use, since it is sealed into the case.I will probably buy my own push pins instead of using the sticky putty that they include.

I loved this as a kid and impulse bought it during Covid. The plastic is a bit thin and the gears pop up often. Trying to make a simple birthday card with no ‘skids’ took 4 tries. I may double down and get the metal set

I can't write about the thickness or sturdiness as its a Christmas gift for 3 great granddaughters . The box includes a lot more than I have ever remembered it having . I know they will love it!!

I used to have a little one when I was younger and loved it. I bought this one for my sister's birthday and she [and her fiance] loves it!
