My research following my diagnosis of hypothyroid led me to this product. I held off because my doctor prescribed levothyroxine for me and I wanted to see how that played out. After 8 weeks I got new labs and, when the results came back, my doctor sent me an email stating that my TSH was "normal" and that I should continue on the original dose. After I pointed out that my TSH prior to symptoms (which I was fortunate to have) was significantly lower (by approx. 3 points) and that I was barely functioning at these levels, she referred me to an endocrinologist. It was a combination of the wait time for that appointment (over a month), the tone of the email (focused entirely on labs without ANY inquiry into my symptoms), and the unsustainable state of my life (overweight, uncomfortable, completely exhausted, and often in pain) that made me try this - partly out of desperation but also based on research around relief of symptomology with glandulars vs. synthetics.I waited a few weeks before reviewing because I wanted to have an honest sense of how effective it is for me. First of all: It helped from day one. And just like that I had hope... I've been keeping a log to track my basal temp, heart rate, weight, diet, medication and symptoms throughout these few weeks. Right away it was like my body was making sense to me again for the first time in months (if not years). My temp went up to near normal, I could do things and not have to roll myself into bed for a couple of hours recovery, I could stand for a good period of time without being in pain, I could do yoga and workout without outlandish pain or the need to recover for two days afterwards. When I noticed an energy slump in the afternoon I started taking another. So now I take two (one first thing in the morning and one around 4pm) in addition to my small dose of levothyroxine, which I now split in half (taking half in the morning and half at night eliminated a problem with insomnia).I'm hoping to heal rather than mask symptoms though. Ideally this is just a means to making that possible, so that I can actually do what healing requires...and so far, so good. I don't mean to paint this as a magic pill but, as anyone who is suffering from a chronic and debilitating condition will likely understand, it has felt that way to me. Not a pound lost so far and I suspect I may have some adrenal issues as well but my body does feel like my own again. I will try to remember to update if there are any significant changes to report.

Ok, so I have Hashimoto's and Adrenal Insufficiency both at the same time. I've tried so so so many products to heal my body BUT I could not tolerate thyroid hormones. I would have near panic attacks even on small doses of Armour. Through much research i learned that adrenal insufficiency can be an issue for people with Hashimoto's & not being able to tolerate thyroid hormone is one of them. So I've done a lot to heal my adrenals but still a no go with Armour. Then I found out that some people that have this same issue are doing well with Thyroid Natural Glandular and believe me when I say I was VERY skeptical, but i had to try & see because I'm so sick & tired of feeling so sick & tired. I haven't been taking this product very long but I definitely am feeling a noticeable positive difference in my energy levels, mood, and how my body feels. At this point I'm still at one per day with breakfast. The energy doesn't last all day for me so I may add a 2nd capsule at lunch & see what happens. If you're at your wits end and have similar issues as mine you might want to give this product a try. It did take a few days to start noticing a difference though. And I did try not taking for a day to see if it was a placebo affect and I could tell that I hadn't taken it that day. I have absolutely no idea how/why this works for me but I don't care, it's working, so YAY!

I just had to write a review. I had a total thyroidectomy 4 years ago. My energy levels plummeted to nothing a month later. My cortisol has been a steady 2 since which makes me feel like I have the flu every second of the day. Yes, I have seen the best specialists in the country. For 4 years, I could barely grasp enough energy to get out of bed. THESE SUPPLEMENTS ARE CHANGING MY LIFE. I can do everday chores that I just kind of looked at yet couldn't start to actually do before (if that makes sense). The brain fog that accompanies my chronic hypothyroidism has also drastically decreased. If you have similar issues, please do yourself a favor and buy this allergy supplement. I don't care how it's marketed or regulated at this point. This will help you. I have tried everything ou there. Although I do not feel 100%, this bottle of pills gave me back my life.

FIRST OFF I AM NOT A DOCTOR OR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL BUT THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PRODUCT...A RECENT BLOOD TEST CAME BACK WITH AN ELEVATED 'TSH' INDICATING 'HYPOTHYROIDISM'...I TOLD MY PRIMARY DOCTOR I PREFERRED TO TAKE 'ARMOUR THYROID' BECAUSE IT WAS 'NATURAL' AND I KNOW PEEPS THAT TAKE IT AND LIKE IT BETTER THAN THE SYNTHETIC. I FILLED MY PRESCRIPTION FOR IT BUT I THOUGHT BEFORE I TAKE THE ARMOUR I WOULD TRY JUST THE OTC THYROID GLANDULAR' WITH THE THYROXINE REMOVED FIRST. THIS PRODUCT HAD GREAT REVIEWS AND I LIKED THE FACT IT WAS A LOW DOSE, 40 MG...I ALSO LIKED THE FACT THAT IT CAME FROM NEW ZELAND...NEW ZEALAND HAS THE CLEANEST AND HEALTHIEST ANIMALS..NO 'MAD COW' DISEASES THERE....OK..I ORDERED AND GOT THESE VERY QUICKLY...I AM TAKING ONLY ONE PER DAY....HAD TWO BLOOD TESTS ALREADY (HAVE NOT BEEN TAKING THEM THAT LONG) AND MY 'TSH' IS TOTALLY BACK TO NORMAL...WELL WITHIN NORMAL LIMITS, SO AT LEAST WITH ME, EVEN THOUGH THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS NO STRONG HORMONES, ACTUALLY NO HORMONES AT ALL, IT HAS LOWERED MY 'TSH' TO NORMAL LIMITS....I PLAN TO HAVE ANOTHER BLOOD TEST NEXT MONTH AND DEPENDING ON THE OUTCOME I WILL DECIDE IF I CONTINUE WITH ONLY ONE PER DAY OR STOP TAKING THEM...BUT THUS FAR THIS PRODUCT HAS WORKED VERY WELL FOR ME IN REGARDS TO KEEPING MY ' TSH' WITHIN NORMAL LIMITS.

I had been taking Armour for a few years but then couldn't get the script renewed. Long story. I bought this hoping it would be a good substitute. I am so happy this product is available. I feel better and have actually lost a little weight. Thank you
