Q: I have a couple cards thicker than 100pt. Is this holder recesssed? Im not trying to smash the card.

No, it is not recessed. I place my valuable cards in a standard sleeve and then in the holder. It works fine.

Q: Can you view the front and back of the card?

Yes, you can view both sides of the card.

Q: Will this fit a card with a jersey in it?

It is two pieces of Lucite plastic, They are flat on the inside and they basically sandwich anything you place between them. A card is thin enough where it will seal around the edges, anything thicker will probably have a gap around the edge.

Q: Why do all of these holders have ugly gold screws instead of silver, they distract from the card itself. Do they sell silver versions?

Don't know but it would be easy to buy different screws from a hardware store and change them out. That shouldn't cost much compared to the cost of the cardholder itself.
