The part was correct. You need marine grease to aid in the install. I used a piece of insulated wire to help hold the impellers in the correct diameter so the cap would go back down over the impeller blades. You need to turn the shaft clockwise while holding pressure down on the cap to get the blades in the correct position. Part was a exact fit and hopefully will look good 2 years from now when it will be replaced. Pump works great giving me a strong water circulation.

I changed my rating from a 1. The kit came with the wrong impeller. They were all about making it right and are sending the right impeller for my F40TRLA All the components were OK except the impeller. It was about 1/8" too big in diameter and would have immediately sheared over the keyway. Impeller unusable. A true shame it wasn't right. All the rest of the parts were fine and it is a complete kit otherwise.

Product worked out great. My 2004 Yamaha 150 HPDI is pumping water as it should again. I only gave 4 stars because the kit should really come with the plastic lock fitting and the metal cap that presses down on the impeller on the shaft. Those things are a pain to remove and are easily damaged in the process. Aside from that, the kit was a perfect fit.
